Good morning, was discussing car with my guy. I wanna get my first car so according to him he said the maintenance of evil spirit is high. Please how true is that?
And for a first car is the accord 08-010 a good choice?
Thank you.

I know right, but maintenance is subjective. The cost of maintaining a keke ain’t the same as Benz. So I’m just asking like generally, is the maintenance on the average side?

Good evening gurus in the house, pls my car delays to pick up speed when I accelerate. Like delays to go into gear. And when it eventually picks I can't go beyond a certain speed as it begins to jerk seriously. It's as if it can't go into the next gear, so I can't speed up. I result to going at that particular speed. Pls what can be a possible cause?

First off , it's eagle spirit not evil spirit.
2nd,for a Camry of same year. It's cheaper to maintain... The only thing that may cost more is the engine & gearbox... But comparing both 2010 camry & accord, the accord's engine is definitely cheaper.

Good day my people, please I really need your expert opinions. I drive a 2004 EOD 4cl, automatic transmission. My problem is that the car jerk seriously when I am in a hold up moving very slowly, but on a clear road it moves perfectly, I have changed fuel pump, torque converter, nozzles and even the throttle mount. My scan shows P0341 and P0135.
Some mechanics believed the issue is from the gear box while others are pointing towards the torque converter, this jerking and vibrations only occurs when I have driven the car for about 1 hour. Kindly advise and assist please.

It has nothing to do with gear. Don't go and spoil it. Read the link above and inspect your car yourself before visiting a kazeem

Yes only on D and on very slow movement usually less than 10km/h. The RPM drops to like 500 during the go slow movement and it does really fluctuate.

Drive the same car and had same issue once. Problem was the exhaust hanger beneath the car. Mine broke and the exhaust was rattling when touching the metal underside. I don't have any codes though

OK I don't drive a Honda but I guess such has happened to my car before. Look closely there might be a socket that's disengaged mostly around the throttle body, you need eagle eyes to spot this After that try and get your throttle body serviced properly. Check for throttle body sensors too. Last but not the least put your car on N and P check the RPM if it fluctuates too. How is your fuel consumption like since this started? The issue has nothing to do with your gear. Your gear is in good shape

Yes

There’s a 5L size can of it too, you can buy that one.
please kindly recommend an affordable engine oil for 2005 Honda Odyssey with about 165k mileage. It's a first time oil change
Can I use the Mobil 2000 5w30?

Yes you can use the mobil 2000 5w30 but remember to change it once your mileage has reached 4,000 kilometers or after 3-4 months of use.

If you wish to use a better oil that can last till 6-8 months or 10,000 kilometers then you should buy the mobil 1 5w30.

It depends on the engine oil you’re using. If it’s the 20w50 then 3 months or 3,000 kilometers of use is okay. If it’s the 5w30 semi synthetic then 5,000 kilometers or 5 months is ideal but if it’s the full synthetic then 7 months or 10,000 kilometers is good for it.

Your transmission fluid should be changed only when dirty, burnt or after a total use of 30,000 kilometers from the date of change.

Good day House. My Honda Baby Boy was hesitating to enter gear and making a thumping sound on reverse and started blinking D light and I took it to a mechanic. He checked and told me he needed to top up 1 can of transmission oil. No1 mistake: I didn't even know the oil he used. After a 2days, car was still hesitating to enter gear and making a thumping sound on reverse. Took it back to him and he called a gear "expert" who told me the oil is empty as it has drained out due to a bad seal. He fixed the seal and refilled with 2 cans of transmission oil. No2 mistake: I didn't enquire on the type of oil he used. I noticed that D-light is still blinking and all the symptoms are still there. Now, would draining the oil and refilling with recommended oil save me? What is the recommended oil and how much does it cost? Should I first of all scan the car before making any move?

Good evening
Please I have a Honda Accord 2005. Recently, I had cause to change my engine. Since then, the vehicle jerks when the rev gets to 3.
My Mechanic directed me to an Electrician who wants me to pay to scan saying It's an electrical fault.
Pls I would appreciate if anyone here has any ideas as to the cause and solution

Good evening have you been able to fix this. And if yes, what was your solution ?

At this point it’s imperative that you scan that vehicle with a good scan tool that would display transmission codes.

If you really want to use a 5w20 weight then ensure you don’t buy any yeye oils. Get the big brand ones like mobil1, Castro, Liquimoly etc because using anyone of these substandard oils sold in the market for below 15k might render your engine useless. Remember 5w20 is a very light grade of oil and under extreme heat it breaks down fast. Getting substandard oil if 5w20 grade can ‘cause new’ noises within your engine that you wouldn’t feel comfortable with.

My own engine specifies 5w20 and I used it a few times then switched to 5w30 and back a couple of times too and I didn’t notice any changes in my engine performance. I have paused using 5w20 right now because of a leak but believe you me I’d still go for the 5w20 when I fix it.

The choice between those two are in your hands. They are the same to me. The 5w20 was formulated for ‘cold regions’ in mind so it gets warmer fast and your temperature guage will settle at the right point on time and your thermostat will open earlier.

Luvinhubby here also sell also sells Honda genuine engine oil if you want to use 5w20
