Please has anyone been able to use GT/B Master/card to register a dom/ain on Go/ daddy or Name/ cheap?
My card is being declined every time I try to register a domai/n name using one of theses registrars. Please kindly suggest a possible solution or alternative.

1. Your card is not probably activated for international transactions, call the number at the back of your card to activate it for online transactions (Please note: I've not done this before) or go to your bank and tell them to activate it for you.

2. If you've been paying with it before, how much are you trying to pay? If it's more than $20, it won't go through(this is the monthly limit). I even tried using one GT card yesterday, I was only able to make $15 payment

3. If none of the above, make sure you have #492 × the amount of dollar you want to pay in your account. If you want to pay $10, make sure you have at least #4920 in your account.

I'm not much experienced but I can contribute.

I haven't used them before (for domain investing) and I don't think I will ever use them.

Why?

1. Higher prices compared to reputable registrars

2. Low reputation when compared to other reputable registrars

3. Not really sure they offer privacy on their domains.

It's better to stick to registrars such as
Name-(-)-Cheap, name silo, GoDaddy, Epik, Dynadot, Porkbun and so on.

call him or hire someone to do it on your behalf. There are some Nigerians rendering such services. If if you're not OK with that, tell him you're not in his country presently, that you will prefer email communication.

Turns out the issue is my account type. I was told I'd need to upgrade my acct and then be issued a new card but I don't have much time for that process.

I have heard about virtual cards. Do you think I can register a domai/n with one? If yes which one do you suggest I use?

The only downside is that the dollar rate is the black market rate at about #600+ per $
