you have a point there
But what's the possible way to achieve that? Coup?

Coup is overthrowing the slavemasters who are our political leaders. That's a temporal solution and it has never worked in Nigeria's successive coups. The overlords are still there you know.

There can be a temporal change when elites fight against themselves which is the normal political elections normally observed. However, in the end, new political allies are formed that will go forth in pillaging the nation, it may be deep or shallow. Greed and lust for power are real.

A difficult one will be the slavemasters coming together to overthrow their overlords. But greed, snakes in their pockets, skeletons in their cupboards, all their crimes and evil will be made known which may either demoralize them or make the masses lose interest in them. But if they see this overthrowing as paying for their past sins and evils, not limited by greed and lust, with time they will overcome.

The last one is forming a reasonable and tangible relationship with new overlords, and this is where China and Russia come into place. The effect of the old overlords on the masses and slave masters may be tough, but the new overlords will always help to counter it or reduce its effect.

Take note: Nothing good comes easy. Change cannot be achieved in 4 or 8 years, just mere recycling of idiots and several gaps in progress.

Thanks.

China, Russia, and North Korea are in a multilateral relationship. The fact that they benefit from each other doesn't mean one is milking or pillaging the other. Each still maintains its grounds and boundary despite being friendly allies. Learning through the ropes facing demons and getting tattoed with scars and allowing someone to guide and lead you, which do you think is better? Yes, there is a space for autonomy and independence, but you must follow the leadership and authority of those higher than you. That's what Africans did in regards to gaining independence, however, were too juvenile, immature, and less intelligent in the operation and management of leadership. And that's what they are still doing as they dance to the rhythm of the overlords albeit to detriment of their nations.

We want to fight our demons, it is what we have been doing for the past 20 years, recycling leaders who don't have the masses at heart.

The problem is foundational like I said before. The people in charge of this organization called Nigeria are not in the Aso rock villa. Whoever you see there is but their instrument.

Settle down and read the story of Moses in the Christian Bible. You will understand better. Moses killed an Egyptian because he was tired of their oppression and how the victim wanted to kill a member of his clan...he ran out of Egypt to save his life. But on his second return, he came with a staff of authority and tongue of fire. Why? Because he merge and form an alliance with a greater power called Elohim, Jehovah, or Yahweh who is greater than every pharaoh combined.

Nigeria is a long process.

Thanks.

Oga just incase you don't know we borrow from China to construct roads unfortunately our debt to GDP ratio is almost 90%. Looking inwards at local alternatives is about the only other option left. Secondly, many industries are no longer profitable due to high cost of diesel. The only other option is to source diesel locally or subsidies if not massive unemployment as well as loss of revenue due to fewer people and companies to tax. My submission is logical. The next administration can't continue on this borrowing spree.
Bro it's not feasible to but diesel at 100 naira per liter it will harm the economy. Now people are even clamoring for subsidy removal on petroleum-based you still want us to add on diesel? By the time we add subsidy on this, where we go see money to build schools? To rehabilitate road and for better health care?

Concerning that borrowing no government may no dey borrow, in fact if you have the money for certain project but you still see who go borrow you better borrow and use that your saved money for other things. That's why I said that running a country is not a market economy, country persist so don't use human analogy for it, human fit die, president fit end e tenor, generation fit go and come but in 100 years country go still remain. So if you burrow and start to pay back small small it's better than using a large junk of cash for only one project may you still get other project to embark on.
Infact I don't care if Nigeria borrow 1trillion dollars that it'll take us 500 years to pay, as long as it's far improves our economy and we dey pay and small small, that's the value therein

1. This post is a diamond in the rough. (I also read a post where you did a summary of Nigeria's political allies and I was awed).

2. I share the same opinion as you. Peter Obi is the best man for the job, but will he be able to fight the dragons, lions, and vultures in the Nigerian political domain? That's my fear concerning him. He is just like a fox, a wild cat though, but can he stand other wild cats and dangerous political animals?

3. It is not about taking over the presidential seat, politics is more than "I'm the president". There are political allies that surround the presidential seats, kingmakers, and hitmen who will not allow anybody to jeopardize their selfish ambitions and rapacious proclivity.

4. It is not becoming the president that matters, how is he going to handle these demons and devils from the pit of hell? That's my fear concerning Peter Obi's presidency. Anything else he is a quality candidate (though not oblivious to the fact that he shares the same sentiments as other politicians one way or the other).

5. Bola Ahmed Tinubu can go toe to toe with these allies because he is among the caucus of allies. He has some notable track record as a governor of Lagos state; give or take, he contributed to Lagos being one of the most productive states in Nigeria if not the most productive. But man is too senile for the job. Like Buhari, he will not be in charge of his government, just his caucus of allies having their leeway around the national treasury. If Tinubu was as agile as Obi, he would have been a good bet. Except for his political cunningness and maneuvers, Tinubu will not be politically present to rule the nation.

6. Atiku Abubakar, is a smart demon, but what does he have to show? What notable record did he make as a former VP? He is also part of the allies and cabals that hold the country down looking after his gains. With his presidency, more rooms for cankerworms will be opened. He may try to achieve a few things as a president, but it is a sham.

7. Nigerian politicians only want to help the nation once it's election time. Funny. We should not even talk about the trade by barter they do with other countries as a result of multilateral relationships. Politics is not void of greed and corruption, but the level it has eaten deep into the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Africa as a whole is more than cancer. Same people will complain about white slavery, simultaneously they pander to the wiles and caprices of their European and American overlords.

8. Had it been we are even struggling but making little progress, it would have been understandable just like other nations that had tough moments as we are experiencing.

9. Reality check: Nigeria is doomed. We don't know what will happen next. The country is on autopilot. The masses are doomed!

Who will help us?

Like the suggestion Pansophist made in another thread, Africans must form allies with Russia and China. Colonialism kind of thing may be attached to this, but what we want is help. At least, African leaders will be smart enough to handle things well this time around.

Without this help from above...

Thanks.

Oh Laaaawd....

God help me and more of my fellow youths to begin to see and understand these.

My sentiments has also always tended towards the forming of an alliance with both China and Russia.

Of course, this will come with some ish but certainly won't be as bad as it currently holds with the ones owning us.

You sound like someone I'd love to learn more from, share and copy notes with.

I'm busy tinkering with some ideas and someone as open-minded with a broader view to life as you is whom I would love to have guide me, critique me, and offer better recommendations.

God bless, bro.

Allying with Russia and China will get Nigeria nowhere. There's no evidence that those nation's have plans other than dislodging the west and getting resources for cheap. Saving this country and continent as an extension is left to us and us alone. No saviour is coming from far away lands

Alliance doesn't mean dependency, parasitism, or not finding your own feet. Every nation on earth have allies, including the US. Alliance is more like choosing a true friend, not an envious psychopath that pretends to love you but will stab you in the back.

We have been allies with the west not out of choice (a position of strength) but dependency (a position of weakness). Also its necessary to not judge other powers base on the behaviours of the west. Alot of evils are unique to the west such ad slavery by race, scientific racism, structural discrimination, things you won't get from other bloc.

Also, to know how someone would behave in the future, the past is a good prediction. The Chinese civilisation is one of, if not the oldest on earth. An unbreakable civilisation from straight 6000 years. All through Chinese history, they have never been one, just one incident where they treated Africans with disrespect. If you know any, please let me know.

Western civilisation is just less than five hundred years, and this has been the worse time for Africa since recorded history. The USSR (and now its successor state, Russia) genuinely supported lots of African independence struggles. They helped and saved us from a bigger trouble by all the wars they've fought against the west who they suffer from as well.

If Napoleon/Hitler successfully defeated Russia and the Brits/Japan/US coalition succefully defeated China, just think for a moment what would become of Africa. You think slavery and feeding of black babies to crocodiles as bait in southern US state is worse? You never see anything.

From the year 2000 to 2020, a mere twenty years period where China and and Russia are in the background getting their act together before exercising their strength on the global stage, just imagine how many countries the west and nato invaded. From Serbia, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Palestine, to name a few. Only a matter of time, it would be all of us.

By allies, I'm not referring to being a parasite and hoping they save us from ourselves, but it's how a plant seek shade in the sunlight and a good soil, to grow, become strong and can stand on its own. The fact is we have passed the point to do this one our own, we simply need help.

My dear brother, Peter Obi seems to be the better of the lot contesting no doubt.

The truth is, if he wins, will he be able to stand up to the demonic people holding the country down like Atiku whom he has a high regard for and concentrate on delivering on what the enthusiastic electorates are hoping for?

If he's able to tell them all off and dares to better the lot of the citizens this will translate to him depriving these rogues from feasting fast on the nations resources as they have been used to and they will all gang up as usual to unsettle and fight him.

Does Peter Obi have the qualities and coordination to repel these gang-ups because these guys won't fold their hands and watch a Peter Obi or anyone interested in bettering the lives of Nigerians to deprive them of their source of livelihood and to crown it all up, these guys are a front and the ones holding Nigeria in trust for the original owners of the business (the UK) otherwise, the UK has the wherewithal to support any government that truly desires to work to better the country and nip in the bud any potential sabotage to that effect.

But you see, the UK see Nigeria as their company and would only support anyone who makes the business profitable for them and in that process, the ones taking care of the company for the UK are able to run amok and corner some loot for themselves without any reprimand.

The honest truth is, no matter who wins next year, things might even get worse than they presently are and hopefully, it would get worse before it begins to get better.

As it stands, we are left with the 3 major candidates to choose from. I'll urge you to follow your heart, listen to them speak, and check out their history to know who you are confident with the more and exercise you civil right of voting.

Peace and God bless.

He is a cunning and even more desperate klepto than Tinubu with nothing and absolutely nothing to offer other than to increase his net worth and holdings.

Do not take my word for it and I urge you to follow your heart and conscience to exercise your fundamental right to vote for whoever is pleasing to you. However, we all should be ready to face and take full responsibility for our choices going forward.

The one piece of advice I'd chip in here again is, that whenever you get a chance with any of the candidates or their minions campaigning for them, ask them valid, salient, and very uncomfortable questions that'd make them stutter.

Ask the questions about who and what they think is holding Nigeria and her people down.

Ask them questions about their alliances/relationships with these demons and situations holding the country and people down and how they seek to hurt themselves in the process of liberating Nigeria and Nigerians from their very own roguish and demonic selves.

Ask them how they intend to tell off the owners of the company called Nigeria and succeed in building a country everyone would be happy to call home?

The matter plenty my brother.

Just follow your heart and hope for the best.

After all, the option left to us are the three major candidates.

What to do?

Imperialism is a fundamental nature of expanding civilizations, if you think the Chinese or Russians are benovolent that's just extremely naive. Anybody that got to the Apex first would have done just like the West (Remember before there was a trans-atlantic slave trade there was a trans-saharan slave trade).

The anti-western and pro Chinese and Russo sentiment I keep seeing here won't help Africans. Neither the west nor the Chinese have our best interest at heart. Any kind of blind alliance with China will get the same result as the one with the west.

The economic growth China experienced in the 1980s was because they opened up to foreign trade and investment( majority of which was from the West) and implemented free-market reforms and this is still a kind of "alliance". We simply need leadership that'll find and make use of a comparative advantage, not grovelling at the feet of white or Asian folks.

This! Many of our people see the poor treatment from the West for so long and go with the mentality that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". The Chinese are just as racist and imperialistic as the West if not worse.

It starts with getting the visionary leadership into politics, we have bright minds from this country scattered abroad who only critic the government while claiming politics in Nigeria is a corrupt and dirty. And while this claim is absolutely true we can't expect those who are corrupt to bring any positive change so why not the "good guys" come down and slug it out starting at the grassroots. If you believe the government of the day is a failure, get into politics at the local level. Don't wait for anyone, the onus is on you! If we only let jackals and hyenas with selfish interests dominate the political space then we are very much complicit in the rot we see.

Nothing the black man is not capable of leadership

Lord lugard in his book dual mandates below. 100 years later same still applies

“Through the ages, the African appears to have evolved no organised religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural. He lacks the power of organisation, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility - he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue. In brief, the virtues and defects of his race -type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy. Perhaps, the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future"

Even on an individual level, I still don't understand the arrogance and the need to oppress others that is common with my people. They derive their sense of worth by standing on your corpse, not from within.

You'll see someone that has achieved nothing in his life will feel so pompous and look down on the humble man that can feed his generations. Being modest and humble is seen as low. I see it all the time, folks that their idea of accomplishment is materialism and women.
