My wife had to get a job as a teacher in a private primary school. I told her it was just temporary as I was working to raise money for her start a poultry.

In order to clear the lapo loan, I had to do odd jobs and take loan from loan apps. My wife's little salary of 20k became the major source of feeding while I battled to clear the loan.

Sometimes I would borrow from friends to pay the loan app to be able to borrow a higher amount from the loan apps again. This was a mistake and a trap cos now I am so much indebted to these loan apps. I am even owing some friends and right now I am unable to pay back.

I have been in debt for over 8 months now to these loan apps. They have tarnished my Image to all my contacts.

I even stopped going to church because most of my church members who received messages from these loan apps did not even care to hear me out. They believed the loan apps that I am a fraudster on the run.

My wife started feeling ashamed of me. She stopped associating with me in public spaces. I know she has tried. Nobody deserves to pass through what she is passing through.

This afternoon when she came back from work, she told me that she would be going back to her parents house

She said that it is best she goes back to her people until I am able to sort my self out.

Guys I have tried to be strong for so long. Right now I don't think I can hold on anymore. I have always believed that things would turn out well, but right now I am in a low place. I don't know how long I can hold on again.

Last month I tried to even get a security job that pays 25k monthly. But I feel so discouraged to do the job. How long will I work to clear a loan of 320k that keeps adding interest daily.

Thoughts of suicide have been crossing my mind today. I really need help

Hmmm. I understand your situation, but suicide is not an option. Zero your mind as if nothing has happened. Start all over again with intentional approach to bounce back. Don't see the loan as a problem, priotise surviving first the gradually pay back the loan.

Take this post seriously.
Don't kill yourself over any silly mistakes, I know life happens to people sometimes but that is not enough reason to do anything stupid at the moment.
What you should do now is get a new sim card and do away with your old sim card which the loan apps always contact you with, hustle, and pay back the people you owe that are around you (not the loan apps)
Do not pay the loan apps again, because you can never pay them in full, their interest will keep growing if you think you can pay them and you will end up working your ass off paying them.

So stop any payment/don't pay the loan apps again only pay your friends that borrowed you money.

If your wife said she's going to her parent's house, for now, let her go and use every opportunity and hustle also save within 4-5 months you will get back in shape trust me.

Please sir ...don't kill yourself .. I've been in your shows several times untill things changed. These guys are merciless, they'd go any extent to tarnish your image. The worst is when you try paying off an outstanding loan by having to borrow from another loan app. And the fact many of them give you 7 days to pay with high interest makes it so hard. And then when it accumulates ..it can cause one to go crazy ..ive been there..having to see them call every now and then can make your heart skip..its normal ..its a phase ..infact don't stress yourself about it ..theres always a wey around .you should be more concerned about your mental health, make sure you try and build brainpower and talk to God more. Only him can help. Youre at a very stringent point in your life, you need to give yourself a reason to live. People commit suicide when they realize they don't have a reason to live. At this juncture, one becomes vulnerable to societal vices when they're under this kinds of pressure and it's because they're engulfed by their mental stresses and confrontations. please follow this advice.start afresh,since they have tar ish your image,forget about them totally.go to your phone settings,block app permissions,remove your sim and move your most valued contacts to another sim.post enough disclaimer messages on your social media.Tell people to curse them if they disturb them with the loans.

Start afresh,leave the loan behind,save your security salary,not to pay any loan.cos none of them will come and look for you at home.delete them all I mean the app.pray to God,take a deep breath and sleep.buy a new sim move your valued stuffs there and just beging life again and don't ever go back to it.
Loan apps have no rights whatsoever to ask you for money.they are not a recognized instition except for few of them like fair money,okash,easemoni etc whom youl only need to pay off when you want to travel out of the country because you need to have a clear credit score to leave the country,aside that,others are scam.youve been served life breakfast and I'm glad you ate it well without suicide.

Get the job bro. Don't be discouraged. Allow your wife to go back to her parents place for a while so you can figure your self out. They loan apps have already done their worst. All you can do now is change environment after things have picked up a while for you. Join a good church that will be there for you, advice find Dominion City church around you. Stop borrowing from the loan apps. Lastly pray earnestly to God, with time it will all be a story. While you are at the work, be paying off the loans but by bit an be open to opportunities. Suicide is the worst, don't think about it

First of all, DON'T repay the loans of those who have defamed you. They have received their own payments.

Second, stop overthinking the loans. If you can't repay them, then let it be. Will worrying repay the loans? Of course not. You are not the first to be in debt, and you won't be the last. And don't borrow to repay loans. That is how your debt profile worsens. If you don't have money to repay loans, no one will kill you, so why kill yourself?

Third, the first two points I gave should give you peace of mind because it is only with peace of mind that you can get yourself back on track. With peace of mind, you can carefully search for the best job for yourself. You can even learn something or build the right connections via social media platforms like LinkedIn. When you eventually make enough money, you can repay your loans if they are still available for repayment.

Bro don’t kill yourself o. Everyone is going through one thing or another but that doesn’t mean we will kill ourselves. Like they say, “na owe you dey owe, you no kill person”. You didn’t borrow the money to play gamble. It’s unfortunate that you were cheated.

Now this is what you should do, act like a deaf and blind person to everything and everyone around you, including your wife. Let your wife go to her parents house for now. Focus sorely on getting your life back. Ensure that you’re doing something to make money, no matter how small and take care of yourself. Don’t mind the loan apps and even Lapo. They can’t do you anything apart from disturbing you to pay back their money. Even if they come to arrest you, tell the police that you’ll be paying back the money small small. Do you know how much Nigeria govt is owning huh

When you are in a pit, the first thing you do is stop digging.....

Gather & name all your debt. Call them for restructuring of repayments. Take a leave to another town for a break, where you are not going to spend much. Allow your wife some room to recollect and plan with her meagre income on how to use it for the home. In your new town Hustle on anything. But Don't pay any loan back. Keep giving excuse till you are able to feed your self first, then your family. Then start with the smallest loan, pay it off. Don't touch the big ones. Attack all the small ones, then group all the big ones. Give 20% of what you earn to each on rotational basis. Do this and thank me later!

Make sure you leave your present location. Give the poor lady some Space. If she can hold on for five months, she'd be proud when you guys come together again!

Some years ago, my wife does this daily contribution (ajo as Yoruba call it) and somehow she ran into trouble and all her customers was always visiting our house over her inability to pay. We have to put our act together, I have to play the lead role. We were deflating the debt but it was not moving fast as customers wanted it. Sometimes I will be out trying to make money and there will be calls to come home because someone is making trouble with her. So at a point I asked my wife to travel with my kids, so I can be calm and source the money. It pays off, there was peace and every naira that comes in, I will open record and call any customer that I can pay off. Thank God within two months we were out of it and she came back.

And today she is not doing the business again but she has a fashion outfit and doing well in that same area.

Now let me tell you what I think u should do, pls don't run from church, God can touch someone to help you in the church.
2. You and your wife should not blame each other, whoever that seems strongest among you should lead the battle, you can win.
3. Don't be ashamed of yourself, many people have bigger problem. Don't talk yourself into self pity, it will not help you.

Bring out your inner strength and you will be surprised that it is not a big battle. Your wife might not need to leave if you show capacity, she is seeing you giving up, and that's a source of worry.

Don't give up. Pls try more.

No matter how big the problem is it can be solved by taking little and correct decisions and steps. The loan didnt accumulated over night so it won't be paid off overnight bt u have to start from somewhere rather than nowhere.

Also taking loans u can't pay back is counterproductive. it is better to cut ur coat according to ur size/material and get a job that can sustain u temporarily till u get a better job or alternative.

Suicide isn't even a discussion cos u can definitely recover all and get back on ur feet if u are willing.

Have a mindset to work earn and save no matter how small. Think of other things u can do, never rush into investments that u don't know much about thsys how u got cheated easily without knowing onetime.

U may need some assistance bt while u get that hopefully u still need to correct ur mindset. Then turn around ur life.

If you're balancing 3500 daily, you'll still have daily that amount and certainly more with you daily. if you're not in the line,you should stop quoting me. Besides, how can get a job of at this present Nigeria or the one that will pay him higher so as to settle his debt and still feed from it?....

He owns the bike. Not that he loaned it. You're telling him to collect a 1.3m tricycle on hire purchase when he's still struggling to pay a 300k loan.

I've done transport before and I tell you it's not as straightforward as you say especially when the tricycle isn't yours.

Those guys basically work for the unions because that's where most of their profits go. God bless them if they get arrested for traffic violations or if the tricycle gets stolen.

Like He lost His job, or He fell sick and became unable to work. It was His unwise behavior and mismanagement of debt that got Him where He is today.

Yet you are condemning the woman , Without empathizing with how she must be feeling for Her to say He should sort Himself. Have you ever been in a church where all the members who previously have you respect now know or think that your spouse is a chronic debtor and alleged scammer?
Is it a bad thing for people to find space to sort themselves out , both the Man and the Woman? After all, He will be under less financial pressure.

Do you think it is easy for Her to see Her husband in that state? Do you think it is easy for the Man to see the Woman seeing Him in that state?

Are you sure she is not trying to help His/their mental state by giving Him space.

Don't be too quick to judge. The Man will not solve the problem by blaming it judging His wife.

If He really loves Her l, He must start by understanding Her, then taking responsibility for how he contributed to making Her feel that way and making a commitment to sort himself out, first for Himself, and Then for Her or for the next relationship.

This is not time to be debating the level of His Wives loyalty. First remove the log in His eye.

Is leaving him the solution to the problem? They more probably than not spent the money together. The wife can not be excused in the case, especially if she is trying to run away. The man messed up financially but it wasn't entirely his fault. He said his bike was stolen. Look, people fall into all kinds of problems. That's life. But it is at such times that really need their family and friends around them.

How can you run away from your home because your husband is a debtor and the secret is out in the open. What would see do if the man suffers a terminal illness? Reason am now.

I do not blaming you and I saw firsthand how poverty progressively destroy lives. Growing up, I have a neighbor who was living fine while single. He got married and had first Son, bought him the best and by the time he got to 5th kid, he could not afford 50 naira to get card for general hospital. He almost killed his wife cos he want her to have the baby at home. I believe marriage makes most people better but what they do in marriage that fu$k them up real good like too much kids or lack of spacing in having kids.

MY OPINION

For now let your wife be, but still be in touch with her, it keeps the bond and faith going. I don't think she's actually leaving you.

Secondly, if the security job is what's available for now, take it up with your full chest and be a man, you've got bills to pay. If the security job is the one day in and out, use your free day to sort for other jobs to complements what your already doing, if it's shifting job, try source for extra shift(2 shifts) you may be earning close to 50k or more depending on the negotiations, set a target for yourself. If you're good on the job you get to get tips from people

Thirdly, cut down on spending for foods and clothes, etc. Most times do intermittent fast you wouldn't die.

Fourthly, you have to save, and save, come what may, you have to save, and set your target rights if you plan on leaving the job( security) later...

Remember to always take care of your health, because this journey of yours will be draining and stressful, in the end you'll smile.

Always keep in touch with your wife, share your plans, good to know she's already working as well, if she's good in business, you both plan, start small, it'll grow.

See those your friends that borrow you money, it's not easy in this economy, always keep in touch too, assure them of paying small small, with Time.

Fifthly, if you're a graduate already, and you gat a smartphone, search jobs platforms, around your location for jobs, join WhatsApp/telegram links that has job sourcing etc

Lastly if you are gambler be wise, stop it.
Now you're already married, avoid another woman that comes to drain you, that's vawulence bro cheesy

Guys, I think the problem started last year after some hoodlums stole my bike. That was my major source of livelihood apart from some home lessons that I used to do, but stopped due to health reasons.

It's been difficult financially and I honestly don't know what else to do.

Shortly after my bike was stolen, I got a loan from lapo and added with my little savings to enter palm oil business. I wish I had not done so as I ended up losing about 80k because the guy I worked with cheated me whole heartedly.

My wife had to get a job as a teacher in a private primary school. I told her it was just temporary as I was working to raise money for her start a poultry.

In order to clear the lapo loan, I had to do odd jobs and take loan from loan apps. My wife's little salary of 20k became the major source of feeding while I battled to clear the loan.

Sometimes I would borrow from friends to pay the loan app to be able to borrow a higher amount from the loan apps again. This was a mistake and a trap cos now I am so much indebted to these loan apps. I am even owing some friends and right now I am unable to pay back.

I have been in debt for over 8 months now to these loan apps. They have tarnished my Image to all my contacts.

I even stopped going to church because most of my church members who received messages from these loan apps did not even care to hear me out. They believed the loan apps that I am a fraudster on the run.

My wife started feeling ashamed of me. She stopped associating with me in public spaces. I know she has tried. Nobody deserves to pass through what she is passing through.

This afternoon when she came back from work, she told me that she would be going back to her parents house

She said that it is best she goes back to her people until I am able to sort my self out.

Guys I have tried to be strong for so long. Right now I don't think I can hold on anymore. I have always believed that things would turn out well, but right now I am in a low place. I don't know how long I can hold on again.

First of all i personally stop going to church cause of the hypocrisy in christendom. As for the 350k u no get bill self. See ur woman is the best cuz she just lesson ur burden by going to her parants house. Now listen. Look for security job like u said. It will help. Do it this way. Most security job na 1day on 1day off. Then start another security job again. If u close from A u go for B 30 +30 = 60k monthly then use 40k put for debt 20k ur feeding and tp. 8 months is 380k na so i been leave my life when i de ph and wen i enter lagos. Ur wife don give u opportunity to breakthrough the bondage of loan. If u like de there de say suicide yen yen yen. Bra man up and hit that f×cking chest like kingkong and do big thing. Is leaving him the solution to the problem? They more probably than not spent the money together. The wife can not be excused in the case, especially if she is trying to run away. The man messed up financially but it wasn't entirely his fault. He said his bike was stolen. Look, people fall into all kinds of problems. That's life. But it is at such times that really need their family and friends around them.

How can you run away from your home because your husband is a debtor and the secret is out in the open. What would see do if the man suffers a terminal illness? Reason am now.
