I like both of them.

I have been a big fan of Rabiot for years. I think his game would be good in a side that plays high tempo possession based football. However his personality and character (and that of his mother/agent) could cause huge problems in an already dysfunctional work place.

Rabiot is not a great trainer likely because of his natural gifts and being spoiled by his mother. There is a bit of indiscipline at play here.

He also believes he should be an 8 or even a 10 when he is more naturally suited to be a 6. This has caused problems in the past particularly at PSG.

Summary is that he is good but not as good as he thinks he is. However at this late point I wouldn’t mind Rabiot AND one out of FDJ, Neves, SMS, or Tielemans. Then we add a forward.

You all have a problem with his captaincy but managers have said he is pretty vocal. If the manager has a problem with him he can be benched, captaincy notwithstanding. Young (or was it Valencia?) I think was our captain when Ole took over, didn't prevent him from benching Young.

Personally I don't think Maguire is our problem, I still believe our defensive issues lie in the midfield.
