@purity2all
*** If you have Honeywell shares and want to sell it to Flour Mills @N4.20, fill the MTO Form sent to you by Morgan, scan and send back to them before offer closes on 26th August, 2022 ............that's the summary of it.
Also:
* Pls understand that Flour Mills thru Ecowise and Greywise is picking just 1% from general shareholders for now......
* It's in fulfilment of a bulk purchase rule.......because they already acquired over 76% already....including the 5.06% from FBNH.
* This 1% representing 79.3Million units will be pro-rated if they receive more tenders than the 79.3M from general investors......which may turn out to be insignificant quantities to pick from each investor....
* All these details have been posted here before now.......
** The main one that may eventually benefit the remaining shareholders will be a merger of Honeywell and FMN flour biz or total acquisition..........this aspect is totally in the hands of FMN whichever way they later decided to do it.

So if I don't fill the MTO, my Honeywell will be added to FMW.

Demand for UBA remains strong, courtesy of bargain hunters that have expressed their quotes at lower prices. The seller seams bent on offloading but watchful on not depressing the price by announcing too much offer and releasing the sales in small bits. There is a resistance by the seller to sell below N7 at the moment.

Couldn't wait for N6.9 again. A sizeable chunk of people (11million units) have been queuing at this price for some days now, with the seller not budging.

Reading the profiles of these directors, it looks strong. I am struggling to reconcile it with Remi Babalola's reason for exit last year.

The profiles of these directors appear good for FBNH.

The coming years will show what they can join with the management team to deliver for FBNH. I pray the share price and dividends climbs faster than inflation. smiley

The sizeable chunk at N6.9 moved up to N6.95 today. But it looks like the major seller did not budge from N7.0 Because todays average price was 6.996 even though closing price was N6.95. Hence most likely a desperate seller with >= 100,000 units must have moved down the price at close of today.

International carrier, Emirates Airlines, has announced decision to suspend all flights from Nigeria, effective from 1st September, 2022.

In an official statement issued Thursday, the airline stated that, “Emirates has tried every avenue to address our ongoing challenges in repatriating funds from Nigeria, and we have made considerable efforts to initiate dialogue with the relevant authorities for their urgent intervention to help find a viable solution.

“Regrettably there has been no progress. Therefore, Emirates has taken the difficult decision to suspend all flights to and from Nigeria, effective 1 September, 2022, to limit further losses and impact on our operational costs that continue to accumulate in the market.

“We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to our customers, however, the circumstances are beyond our control at this stage. We will be working to help impacted customers make alternative travel arrangements wherever possible.

“Should there be any positive developments in the coming days regarding Emirates’ blocked funds in Nigeria, we will of course re-evaluate our decision.

UBA: Market kicked off with N7.0 ignoring the last minute close of N6.95 of yesterday. More demand (bargain hunters grin) gathering at N6.95 but looks like the major seller not interested in disposing at that discounted price right now. Rather seem to be looking at higher prices for disposal. Price climbed up marginally to N7.05 while volume traded seem to have thinned. Trading still on. More bargain hunters showing up physically with quotes. But sellers not showing up as much. For every offer to sell there are about 12 bargain hunters waiting at lower bus stops.

Let me share my little knowledge. I have shared it before.

I am not claiming to be a prophet but just observations.

The NSE has a cycle it follows. At present it is bearish but towards beginning of september, end of september and the release of third quarter results there is usually a bull run that lasts till January. It peaks at second week in January.

So we have 2 to 4 weeks to accumulate stocks of your choice at juicy prices now.

If it goes below 180 sell, if it goes above 215-220 (7% to 10% up) sell and hold on till markets start showing decisive direction.

NSE bearish? Some stocks could be, but the overall health of the market as seen from the index is still bullish.

From a high of 54,290 to current value of 49,546 is just 8.7% decline. This index doesn't look bearish.

The health of d market looks bullish but... the uncertainty surrounding the market in this period is undeniable.

The chart you displayed can also be interpreted alternatively; look at the period between 2007 and 2008, similar peak, similar drop then market peaked some more(a lot more actually) past 2008 and dropped brutally.

Are we going to experience a similar roller coster? Or it is all down from here?

I think this period is for jijoists, in hindsight some good stocks have fluctuated about a mean in d last 2 months.

The market has witnessed a prolonged bear especially for banking stocks that have ran several years based on their PE's and P/B's. Won't be surprised if PE's start dropping below 2 for some bank stocks. It's already on PE of about 3 and below on average. That's really bearish.

Why did you invest in the first place? If you answer that question objectively you will be well guided.

MTN is doing well price falling is general market mode- bearish, not because of bad results or bad management or inability to reward shareholders.

If you invested for the long term please look away from falling price and focus on the fundamentals.
You have cash buy more as the price dip more, remember one of the products of MTN is data... DATA IS LIFE! is a slogan
