With this u20 game, at least one can understand why i clamor for a friendly with the senior dutch team for the Super Falcons. I can't wait to see Onyenezidane in the middle, making work easier for Ajibade and Ayinde. The way she brings the ball down with both feet is thrilling. Then the freekicks will have a better shooter this time. We finally have a good setpiece taker to anticipate in coming years. It now remains our setpiece setup that have a poor % in the last 4yrs. Very very very poor conversion rate. Any technical side would take such when analysing us and feel we can't be a threat from there. How France drag Japan though. |

U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Vlatko Andonovski has named a 23-player roster for two September friendly matches against Nigeria, the first on Sept. 3 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas (Kickoff at 12:30 p.m. CT / 1:30 p.m. ET with coverage beginning at Noon CT / 1 p.m. ET on FOX) and the second on Sept. 6 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., presented by Allstate (6 p.m. ET on ESPN2). All 23 players will suit up for both matches. The 23 players were, at some point, all a part of the roster that helped the USA win the 2022 Concacaf W Championship in Mexico, including midfielder Sam Coffey, who replaced injured forward Ashley Hatch after the group stage. Hatch is now healthy and returns for these friendlies. Defender Crystal Dunn, who gave birth to her son Marcel on May 20, will join camp for training as she continues her return to fitness but will not feature in the matches. “All the players on the roster performed well in Mexico at qualifying and have carried that form for their clubs, so we’ll continue the process of growing as a team with this group in what will be two challenging games against Nigeria,” said Andonovski. “Preparing for the World Cup is a long process, and I’ve been very happy with how our team understands that process, is willing to do the work and is making positive strides every camp to get us to where we want to be next summer.

Deltamani: When is Nigeria releasing her list? The game is just 12 days away. Hope they won't start the same fire brigade approach they used during the Canada invitation. |

These are the list of Super Falcons players who won't have visa issues if invited 1. Toni Payne 2. Nicole Payne 3. Ify Onumonu 4. Esther Okoronkwo 5. Mitchelle Alozie 6. Patricia George 7. Uchenna Kanu It's worth mentioning that as at the last report, the NFF was yet to fulfill their WAFCON promises to the ladies. Could this affect invitation? |

Any team's first and last hope is the goalkeeper, who controls her goal area. She is capable, brave, and fast to make decisions. A goalkeeper is truly unique. 2 Likes

Idiko1: It's as a result of poor football development and upbringing. Most Nigerian footballers , male or female of any age didn't start from a proper football academy where the basics are taught till, they were very mature and no more malleable. Most of them play street football till their early or mid 20s and those shitty trait is an Hallmark of street football, and not professional football. When some of them get to play in a proper professional setting, some adapt themselves and correct that error, but a lot of times, majority are far too gone to be able to be corrected. |

Gosh! She's still a kid, for Christ's sake. Lay off on her and her teammates, will ya?? Geez! Once she gets into a club a bigger club (in Europe, hopefully), she would be taught the art of modern football, the same way the likes of Oshoala and Ajibade were taught and we are seeing how rounded they have become now. Ditto that for the high prospects from the team - herself, Demehin, Onyenezide, Oshobukola, Chiamaka (#7), Alani, Abiodun and perhaps, Idoko. Wish the others good luck in their respective careers. timay1: Even if I had to agree partly with the bolded, the basics were thought when we played "academicals" in Nigeria. I remembered when the game masters had to carry a symbolic cane while instructing us not to touch the ball more than twice in order to seek out teammates who were open. I guess the guilt rests with the idiotic culture in today's Nigeria where a dumbass goal scorer is held as hero or heroine. 1 Like |

AkinDS: The bolded is simple expression of inferior mentality. The only two technically sound players in the Falconet squad are #8 and #14. The #13 is a glorified wet blanket while #7 and #17 need heavy load of film studies of the games. |
