Doncaster is a nice town, in my opinion. If you considering going there look at simple life. They develop new builds and rent out at reasonable price, New build 3 bedroom semi detach duplx was going for £750 at a time, with access to good schools for the kids and all. Don't know the current rate.

Tanz Santa. The houses price are not too bad either for Mortgage or Rent. As far they are jobs, other things will be added.

Check the scale up list if your employer (council) is on the list. See my earlier post and Amarathripple0 See pages 579, 580
Scale up list: www.scaleupinstitute.org.uk/scaleups/
PS: not sure if Councils might be on the list. Dunno. Don't expect 'em

Good evening to the elders in the house,
Please I am so confused here, I hope someone can enlighten me.
I studied special educational needs and disability and am already on PSW. I just got a job with a council as SEN casework officer. Below are my questions please.
1) under skilled list, I don’t don’t know if I fall into the categories of SEN teachers or Educational officers (note: I am not working/teaching in a school)
2) is it polite to discuss CoS with my manager as soon as I resume (I will be resuming next week and the council got license)
3) my annual salary is above 30k but below 33k, can I apply for scale up visa based on national pay scale(I planned to moved to SEN tribunal officer after some months experience)
Please am begging you in the name of God, look into this cry thanks

Regarding the skilled list, you may have to do some research on your own or perhaps Ticha can advise.

Concerning the scale up visa, a council would not be on the scale-up list. Scale-up companies are relatively growing companies, i.e., companies that have experienced consistent growth over the last 3 years.

My advice on the sponsorship request would be this. Become an asset to the organisation, show that you can do the job, and be the go-to person when there’s a problem that needs to be resolved. Then you can bring up the conversation about sponsorship. Often times, some of these employers think sponsoring an employee is rocket science when it’s in fact a very simple process. He or she may not even be aware that their company sponsors, so bringing it up too early may throw them off.

6 months since I did biometric to switch from T4 to Skilled Worker Visa

I just wan vent.

UKVI keeps saying there us a technical issue with application. I had to email HR to ask if they can reissue CoS so I can reapply for work visa and pay for priority this time.

Nothing yet from HR as they needed to contact UKVI too.

I got another CoS from my employer. Reapplying for another skilled visa and withdrawing the old application.

I will be opting to use ID check app and priority service because I am not sure of dates available for physical biometric (my patience is running thin and waiting 3-4 week for biometric date fit make me lose it).

Fingers crossed.

If you're using biometrics app, why are you going for another physical biometrics capture? I haven't heard of anyone else switching visas who have had to do that.
You just scan your current BRP with NFC, take a photo etc. that's it AFAIK

I was considering doing super priority which was why I mentioned physical appointment and not sure of closer dates for biometric.

was a bit skeptical but its a unipol landlord….or what do you think

@tizzdi I'm actually suprised you were able to get a unipol accomodation at this time, cos they are usually much sought after. If you can confirm the landlord is authentic from unipol, then you can go ahead. if you dont mind my asking, how many bedroom's is the accomodation did you getting?

its an en-suite bedroom and i’d have to share kitchen with others which is really not ideal for me

Using biometric apps, I know people who got their response within 3days after they'd done the BRP scanning with the app and picture taken. This is student visa season, so even with priority, I'm not sure how much faster you'd get a response.

Thanks so much and I sincerely appreciate your reply. I guess so cuz the manager told me this is first time they are employing someone without British passport and am sent a document to read in order to know what documents to sent for my right to work in the UK. They needed me cuz they agreed to train me with such salary despite no experience, ur advice is superb. Thanks

Greetings all. Has anyone here applied for a Skilled Worker visa recently through the ID Check app and got their decision within the standard time of 8 weeks? For standard application. Thanks.

Depending on experience and qualifications some of us have to take “shyte” salary to enter our profession in the UK. In my line of work, it’s virtually impossible to join suddenly at the top. Transferable skills but the employers are not comfy you know the environment and rules that govern the business in the UK. You can’t know it by reading or researching; you have to get it hands-on hence “shyte” role or salary.

Therefore, regarding “shyte” salary - comparison is a thief of happiness. Be content and grow accordingly ! Wink!!

Even before student visa, Ukraine applications took the front seat. The UKVI also experienced technical issue with application submitted between mid march and May. I sha know I won't have to wait another 7 months like I did for standard application.

I intend to apply alone get decision before applying for dependents.
