A GOOD ALTERNATIVE
Scared of the stock market?
Find a good alternative in coral money market fund instead of leaving your money idle in the bank. The rate is looking up 10.26% as at today.

Interesting.
Fidelity has beat First Bank in kicking off interim dividend payment.
With this 10kobo from Fidelity, UBA needs to perform better than 20kobo.

Aswear. All interim and final dividends need to go up aswell. Inflation is biting hard and the naira has lost alot.
For the purpose of foriegn investors, dividends need to go up to meet the devalued naira.

Totally agree with you. Likewise earnings need to grow somehow in line with the growth in deposits that the banks state in their annual reports. I guess the growth in deposits is also a result of inflation.

Good evening guys, please can some one explain this to me. I carelessly and hopelessly entered a sell order for my Transccorp share @ price of 1.11 and went for my business, only to log in later this afternoon and discovered it was cleared at price of 1.13. I was surprised. Is it an error or actually possible in NSE.

If u filled on the sale order form that yr mandate shd be executed at a price limit of 1.11, then it's possible. What your sale order means is for them to sell at any price but not less than 1.11.
If the price goes higher, they could sell.

It is possible if the mm is the one buying.

OK.

I don't know how that happened then.
I still prefer to send all my orders by e-mail. Despite having access to do it through online portal.
I sleep on my orders and send them by e-mail early in the morning.
Maybe cos I am not a trader.
I invest for long term.

please note: A buy order with a limit price actually means buy at any price lower or equal to the limit price

while a sale order with a limit price means selling at a price higher or equal to the limit price.

Order without a price limit buys or sells at any price that gives a deal at the shortest possible time.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Frangel: 10:19pm On Aug 31, 2022
Nothing to worry. It must have been executed between 2.20 - 2.30pm.

The buyer (usually MM) intended buying@1.13. So all Sell orders to fill his buy order size @1.13 will go at that price. (See mkt trades for Transcorp today, all filled at 1.13 by 2.30pm).

Same applies if he (e.g MM) wanted to sell btw 2.20-2.30pm. You could get your buy order filled below your limit price. Bonus that happens occasionally.

Generally, your limit orders are sacrosanct. Hope this helps.
