What did you study? What do you want to study? What academic level do oyou want to study? Do you speak french? (It will take about 1 year of near full time practise to get from Level 0 to LEvel 4/5 CEFR h in french) What were the reasons for rejection? Do you have funds? Do you have a sponsor? What is your relationship with/to the sponsor? Answering questions like these will help to shape your process. maridrug: |

1. If the admission was only just withdrawn, she may still be granted a study permit at the Port of Entry. 2. You may need to get an "emergency" admission. Places like HErzing College are good for that. 3. Don't try to be "oversmart". You will eventually have to justify your previous entry when you apply for a study permit extension, a work permit, even a PR. I would suggest: - contatcing the school confirming that your application has been approved and requesting a reinstatement of the admission - trying to defer the admission to another date (even if it is a year later) - trying to find out if there is something she can study that is in high demand, leads to a for sure CSQ, PNP or PR. May even need to reconsider location. Good luck, reach out for more specific help. Segzylonely: |

Eventually, you will have to defend that time frame. Even if you defer, I strongly suggest doing a 6 month to 1 year program in the meantime. A program that is in high demand. Or even doing FT french language learning. CharitoJames: |

LOOL Canada is the most straightforward country. It is difficult to play with them and not get caught. 1. You can't work that semester. 2. Your next applications (study permit extension, work permit, PR) will be heavily scrutinized. 3. If a non-insignificant number of Nigerians do what you do, ALL Nigerian applications will get even more scrutiny. Thisuserwanjapa: |

Congratulations!!! I am happy because, having been there, I know what it means to do this by yourself. The thinking, rethinking and overthinking of the documents added. The systematic way of justifying every statement in a letter with a proof doc. I know you will go far in Canada. Cheers. Finish with BEST grades my man. That will serve you better in the medium term. What I found out is the IRCC will deduct the time you overworked. So if you did an 18 month course, instead of giving you an 18 month PGWP, they'll give you 6 months. ![]() We should all work in a desired field. So that way, you get PR immediately. bepositive11: |

Not much you can do for now. Request GCMS notes. Use this opportunity to review the documents you submitted. If you need to add anything, do so. Be careful and thorough but do not contradict previous statements...only clarify. An expensive option is to get someone to go over your application as well. The trick is finding someone who won't charge an arm and a leg...and who knows what they are doing. zacolas: |

I know someone that they refused after 3 days. Basically saying they don't think they plan on doing what they said they would do. CharitoJames: |

My sister went to UOttawa. I almost went to UOttawa. I think it is a great location. Maybe things have changed. I would advise you, your husband or/and your daughter to use the opportunity to learn french. Wishing you success!! Teeedeee: |

There is a thriving Nigerian community at MUN. I hope you study well (there is a party culture in a way) and score good grades. It is possible to fund the remainder of your studies there. If you don't need to, might be better off focusing on campus life. If you need more info on NL, holla. Dsam4life: |

Lol. A native Canadian can be bad too. Now that I'm PR, I may sue a native Canadian lawyer. bepositive11: |

tmtech:Don’t stress yourself, if this is truly what has transpired and there’s evidence, approach the law society via email or telephone call and report the matter , they will handle the matter properly. Every province in Canada has a law society and the province the lawyer practices in is the province he is admitted to the bar in. E.g for Ontario it’s the law society of Ontario LSO |

Hi Makano, I'm new on here and am happy to see the good work you are doing for people. I hope you won't mind if I disturb you for advice. Please I applied for Canada study visa on the 24th May Biometric on the 2nd June which was confirmed that very day. Ever since then I have not heard any thing from IRCC. I am getting worried. I would love to have a conversation, you can reach me via adeyinkaakeni@gmail.com I look forward to hearing from you Thank you makano: |

Damn that's scary. With a 6 month PGWP, it's really hard to get PR right? An 18 month course is meant to give you a 3 year PGWP. You can't even include the hours you worked as a student when applying for PR. And the CEC pathway requires at least 1 year of Canadian work experience. How do people who get 6 month PGWP get PR? Is it even possible? cooooooks: |
