Good morning my Nairaland family, I want to ask if HND holder from Nigeria are qualify to apply for M1 in any public university in France? If yes what are the requirements? Lastly what is the range of tuitions fee and is there any age limit?

Can a student travel along with dependant ( spouse and kids).

Hello guys.

I just joined this thread and I have a question. I was going through the campus france portal via the link that was posted here. I searched for my preferred course for masters and I kept seeing “M2” for most of the schools listed. Please what does “M2” mean? Thanks.

Its Masters degree 2

This is not a click bait but this is my YouTube channel where I will be posting videos of places around France and Europe generally.

Watch the annual braderie de Lille of 2022 and let me know what you think.

Most French Public Universities have a fixed price. You will either be paying;

€170 for undergraduate; €243 for masters

or

€2770 for the undergraduate; €3770 for the masters program.

To clarify all universities used to charge the first category for tuition. In 2019, The French Government decided to differentiate the fees of European and Non-European students. All Universities are expected to now charge the second category, but a number of universities wave the tuition such that the fees are the same for both National and International Students i.e €170 for undergraduate; €243 for masters. Depending on the universities you apply to, you will be paying either of those fees.
Please do they accept HND for masters programs?

Some universities charge 243 Euro per year other universities charge 3770 Euro. It depends on the university you select and which offers you admission. Masters program can be 1 year or 2 years. Most are 2 years.

You're the best. Am visiting Lagos branch of Campus France this morning. I had it in mind before but this info is gonna fast track my move. Thanks a bunch man

Based on my research, M1 is for those that did 3yrs undergraduate program while those with 4yrs program (HND and 4yrs BSc) are qualified for M2. Most M2 are 1yr program

What are the chances of getting a job while studying for someone who doesn’t know French? Given that majority of the population don't speak English. Is there anyone with firsthand experience here please? I’d really like to know.

Thanks.

It depends on your region of study but with no knowledge of French it is 50/50

There is no categories of Visa for that ...They have enough personnel in French hospitals so there is no need for external support, europe is not like nigeria..Think of other reason to apply for french visa, if your sister is living there legally

Hello FrenchXpert,
I have a quick question.

I need to apply for a visa to France, on the basis that my sister is admitted to a hospital there and she needs someone to support her.

Is like you have a personal hatred and disdain for HND graduates, M1 is like a Top up degree, with HND you get admitted to M1 while BSc gets admitted to M2 directly.

My brother is currently waiting for October to come so that he can apply through Campus France with HND and over 5 years of relevant working experience, After he gets admitted I will come back here and post his admission letter wink wink wink

My brother is applying in October for September 2023 intake through Campus France & Admission will be out in January or February so we will see then, you take this HND issue so personal, even some universities in US, UK and Ireland admit HND graduates with significant years of relevant experience to either a Top Up degree, MBA or MSc.

Ehen ehen bro I don't think french universities accept OND/HND oh.....I have gone through the process myself, so am speaking from experience. Not all Nigeria Bsc certificates are even recognized by french universities i.e PSL and Paris saclay (especially if you going for a particular program). etc..... To apply for a french M1 program you should a Bsc with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and professional experience. Note this doesn't guarantee anything, because some French universities have a higher requirement i.e minimum of 3.5/4.0 cgpa. Your brother can give it a try though, but I doubt.... he shouldn't concentrate only on french schools....he can try the UK....I know schools in the UK that accept both OND and HND.
