We cant reason same way, if you take someones car for taking one way(no accident involved), what is being done about government officials using illegal convoys that usually lead to accident while over speeding?

A heavy fine?
So confiscation of the car is not a heavy fine?
I support his comment, nobody should Auction anybody's car.

Prison for man slaughter, what i meant was taking cars for using one way especially when it didn't lead to accident is not justified.

Jesus.. I would have been knocked down today also at OPIC while trying to cross the road, I was watching the left not knowing that bikes were coming on the right side facing traffic.

Majority of Nigerians are lawless cos our leaders are

Where is Jendor and Funke Akindele alongside this labour party people?
They should say something on this now?
I think Lagos state need to brace up it plan against these disobedient traffic offenders.

The law is still too draconian.

This driver should be charged ccording to his crime - 1. Driving one way and 2. Manslaughter.

There are many other people who have mistakenly found themselves on one way routes especially in this Lagos where 60% of road signs have been removed. They dont deserve their cars taken away from them.
you are a fool

I still stand with JANDOR, nobody should take what someone is using to feed his family and auction it all because you want to maintain law, arrest the driver, charge him to court and court will do the needful.

Government and "influencial people's" convoys wey dey kill people left and right, what have they done, im not justifying one way, but if their punishment would be overkill, pls punish every other similar offence same way.

the driver should be arrested and sentence to 30 years imprisonment. but I still stand with JANDOR that says people's livelihood should not be taking and sell off.

So if he is sentenced to jail what concerns him with livelihood. Will he not be housed and fed at taxpayers expense.
Can he be driving his bus in jail.
His bus is the object of a crime, a weapon of manslaughter and has to be denied him.

If your house is used for kidnapping it will be seized, if your dog attacks someone it will be put down, if your car kills why shouldn't it be taken.
And if you are caught in the act of manslaughter by driving against traffic then the government reserves the right to confiscate your vehicle and auction it to ensure you never use it for such crimes in the future, period.

Cars don't kill, people do. That is why you must be separated from your car when you attempt to kill and the car sold off not destroyed.

Some people are just not okay mentally in this country, why would you pass one way in the first, then speeding again. Hope they got the driver.

One way is bad because the pedestrian won't be cautious to look left and right to cross. And one thing is one user always speed to get where they can do u-turn. Anyway a heavy fine or jail term to the person. The car didn't drive itself , its human that drove it so hold the human and not the car.. heavy fine and jail term is my take..

You are just a nuisance abeg gettat... reasoning with your drilled anus.

So why the fine? Was it the money that committed the offence?

When government comes against you with the law, you go against them for pushing you to disobey the law.
You don't take the law into your hands. Fight the government not the law. That is how sane societies work.
But because of feudalism in these parts the citizens fear their leaders more than the law and yet they expect their leaders to fear the law and govern well.

This is very sad and I pray the family gets justice.
But we are not animals, we are humans. We have laws.
If someone shoots another and they don't die, it's called attempted murder and they get 10 to 15 Years. If the person dies, it's called murder and they get life or death sentence .

Someone driving one way can be punished with jail, even his drivers license and right to drive commercial and fine. You don't take away his vehicle If pays his fine.

Someone killing whilst driving one way thats manslaughter with jail time.

There is a reason stealing 1 billion with no weapon can get 5 Years in prison and stealing just a tuber of yam whilst armed with a gun or cutlass is death sentence.
