Clueless government that displays its laziness and planlessness. What happens if starlink pull out service? It is basing your plan and expenditure on someone's else rain salary.
What are you talking about?

Including MTN and Airtel.

The 3 major service providers go surely lose some or majority of their heavy subscribers before December 2022.

Data price is so expensive in Nigeria with there terrible network.
I disagree. Data subscription is very affordable in Nigeria.

You are talking too much without making sense.
'They will switch to unlimited when the time comes'.
Which time?
Glo currently offer unlimited data plan to Ghanaians yet no such plan to Nigerians.

Meanwhile glo started in Nigeria.

Like it or not glo, mtn etc will always impose their fair usage policies becuase they don't have the resources to handle high demand of heavy data usages by their customers.
yeah.. because those useless networks won't invest.
They are currently okay with the current arrangement where they can charge over 150 dollars for just 1tb of data and still serve shitty services.

Alot of big indian networks have unlimited data and India population is almost 10 times the size of Nigeria's population. Yet India has one of the cheapest wireless network in the world.

Sir I beg to differ. Swift has high speed unlimited internet at 25k a month. I have used severally.

I have gotten speeds of up to 10mbps.

I ask again, what do we really need 4k or 8k movies for when we are not oyibo?

Are you aware that 1080 movies are super clear not to talk of 2160?

If you observe, all my talks is geared towards non wastage of funds which this star link is all about.

What they offer is already offered by Swift and MTN at a far cheaper rate. Thanks.

As if you are ready to pay 45k for limited every month

It’s crazy a lot of people have stating what you’re stating, when it isn’t true

The equipment kit is sold in the US for $599
while monthly sub is $110

The article clearly stated that it will sell in Nigeria for $99….. while the monthly sub is unknown atm, deducing from the US prize arrangement, it’s obvious that the Nigeria monthly sub amount will surely be like $60 or below.

So Where una get that $99/mn from ??

How about buying this internet services and distribute it to at least 10 persons who will pay 10k each for their office or house?

Smart move grin

This is the reason I want to order mine with the Rj45 adapter. Unfortunately, Elon Musk is an extreme capitalist, else he would've included an RJ45 port on the router.

Get 1KVA solar installation, a good omnidirectional ap, a router and a laptop running an AAA server, and you're an ISP. Charge 15 people 12k monthly for unlimited internet service and you won't have to bother about funds to pay starlinks subscription.

Apollo Group TV $25/mth or $160/yr but worth it
Has all DSTV channels too, including your much acclaimed BBNaija

I totally agree with you on Apollo Group TV. It's the best IPTV service I've tried so far and the 10-day trial is unrivalled. The only turn off for me though is the high subscription rate. I'll probably consider it if I get anyone to share with.

I can't say for sure, it depends on the brand and vendors, do your it research. As for the AP, if you can, and if you want a far coverage area, a 90 degree will give you better throughput than 180, and 180 is better than I'm omnidirectional. So if you're not at the edge of the estate, one directional AP won't cover. You'll need 4 units of 90 degree AP, or two units of 180 degrees AP, or one unit of omnidirectional AP. Depending on which one you choose.

The solar is basically to power your equipment; starlinks, Laptop and the AP(s). It's better to buy APs that uses PoE cables. A core i5 system (from 3rd generation) should run your AAA server efficiently.

If you stay in a nice neighbourhood, I would advice you get ISP License from NCC, it's pretty cheap (Check their website for current price). Else if NCC pays you a visit, mostly as an invitation from your nice neighbours, you'll lose you equipment and possibly face jail time.

One more thing, start with an omnidirectional AP, run your network for a while, as your subscriber base increases you can get the directional aps and also upgrade to Starlinks business package. Use a very good router, it'll save you a lot of trouble.

That's how far free consulting can go, if you're serious about the business, let's talk business and possibly a partnership.

No 5g coverage for my side. If ordering Starlink does not cut it, I'll just get a router and manage 25k sub for a month.
