Re: Mackerel: How Do I Identify Original From This Fish? by Bianda24: 6:40pm On Oct 19, 2022
Original and fake kwa? I think a specie of markerel tastes better than the other specie. A above tastes better than B
Re: Mackerel: How Do I Identify Original From This Fish? by baralatie(m): 6:42pm On Oct 19, 2022
Mackerel is a common name applied to a number of different species of pelagic fish, mostly from the family Scombridae. It is also called Titus fish, especially in Nigeria.
Re: Mackerel: How Do I Identify Original From This Fish? by deavicky(m): 6:43pm On Oct 19, 2022
But of the are the same.
Re: Mackerel: How Do I Identify Original From This Fish? by AlphaStorm: 6:44pm On Oct 19, 2022
THERE IS NO FAKE MAKEREL.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHICH OCEAN IT WAS CAUGHT. THERE IS ATLANTIC MAKEREL, PACIFIC MAKEREL E.T.C.

THE TASTE IS ALSO SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT.
Re: Mackerel: How Do I Identify Original From This Fish? by aliscomonaj: 6:45pm On Oct 19, 2022
Then it is still confusing
seunak2016:
original always WHITE, I think A is original not sure if B is original or fake
Re: Mackerel: How Do I Identify Original From This Fish? by Nobody: 6:45pm On Oct 19, 2022
favour32:

(A + B) (A - B)=(A - B)*
*=2(all squared)

(A+B)(A-B)
A^2 - AB +AB - B^2
A^2 - B^2
Note: A^2 - B^2 not= (A-B)^2
However, A^2 - B^2 = (A+B)(A-B)

Learnt that from a fish seller.
Which one is fake in Titus again?
This is like saying a specie in nature is fake.
It can't be fake.
One probably tastes better than the other

Fish is an animal. There is no fake animal.
Buy the 2 and eat.
One is Mackerel and the other is Titus.
Use Wikipedia to know which of them is which.
I finally found one person that have sense in the comments.
I was surprised at other people comments, this is proof that most nigerians are educated illiterate, they can't think.
It's a pity

Exactly our thoughts @MANNA.
All fish ba fish isn't it?!

The value/importance of an item makes it more original than the other(s). Even we human beings that God spent time to create, we are not of the same timbre and calibre.

There is original and fake of that fish.. but I only identify whenever I taste.. so I wish to Identify before I pay
Not really original or fake sha,
the sweeter one is the Atlantic mackerel "scomber scomber" while the other one that's less tasty is the Pacific mackerel "scomber japonicus"

the sweeter one is paler, the head is longer, the eyes smaller and the belly shinier.

the less tasty one is usually darker.
