I must be sincere, till today, I still don't know the difference between this two fish physically.

By taste, I know the one is sweeter and very tasty expecially when you boil, then other doesn't taste so nice like that. So is there truly a fake and original? How do I identify original one?

Yes true.
I've seen Shawna (don't know the English name) with scales circulating recently.
One is called agbodo, very bony, looks like Shawa.

I don't know why we don't have good fish in this country.
Just boring tasteless fish.

Small Google search will teach you that there are several types of mackerel fish. is like we are talking about tilapia fish. You people should even stop calling it Titus, so that when you eventually travel abroad, you do not disgrace our great country

The two fishes are original. Fish A is a full blown Mackerel while Fish B is Mackerel halfcast.

Aunty this is Titus not mackerel. Mackarel has a duller coloured skin than Titus. Na titus dey glow. Ask fish seller to show you when next you visit the market.

Oh and mackerel is usually bigger in size

The original one has bolder patterns on its body. And it is darker.

'A' is the original one. It's easy to spot. The original one has a darker dorsal lines at the back , while the dorsal lines of the fake is lighter blue. Also, the body of the fake looks frail, unlike the original that looks robust and thick.

B is original.

The belly of Original looks more whitish than fake one. If you see funny blood or red flesh when cutting your fish, just know you bought fake. The bone of fake is usually strong, while that of original is soft.
