Nigerians paying between £11,000 to £15,000 to study in the UK are wasting their money. This new day slavery has to stop. When they get to the UK. they find out that 90% of Britons can't even afford to pay out of their pocket. UK. citizens access loans to be able to study. If you tell white UK. citizens to pay cash for their education over 90% of them will become illiterates because they don't have the money. Their parents too are unable to raise such amount for school. They are unable to raise the outrageous amount Nigerians happily pay to study there.

After Nigerians complete their study there the only jobs available to them are menial jobs which barely pay the bills. What is even more alarming now is the the UK. government now allows you to bring your spouse and kids during the duration of your study. Your spouse will work round the clock to pay the bills while you are busy studying. This is to further drain the little amount you work and make sure you don't send money home. Their degrees are worthless. Many Nigerians who studied in UK and later found themselves in Canada and America are doing odd jobs.

Nigeria has the best schools in the world. A graduate in Uniben can be compared to an Oxford graduate if not better but we have been programed to hate our own. After studying in the UK. you find out nothing has change and you didn't receive any new knowledge as their study is below par. That's why most Nigerians top their classes abroad.

I would advise Nigerians to instead use the amount you intend to pay to a UK. school to set up and business and within the next 7 years you will become the new Dangote instead of being stucked in Canada or America doing odd jobs

Please don't deceive yourself, Nigeria of yesterday is different from Nigeria of today. Majority of the successful elder state men/women and big men/women running the shot in the country all studied abroad. People travel abroad to learn new things, you can't stay in one place and see things differently especially a situation in the country where a lot of people are comfortable with the idea that the work of government is to build roads and bridges. You think it's easy to start up a business in the country presently? Most successful and creative people in the country were once living abroad and they brought home their experiences from developed countries and now they are enjoying. For example Nairamally studied abroad he has a lot of contacts he made which I believe has helped him in he's musical career same with Don jazzy etc and including bloggers, technocrats etc. I use God beg you, if you have the resources to send your kids abroad please do. The nonsense style of political administration in the country does it encourage developmental growth?

Studying in the UK is not a myth. Their education system is far advanced than in Nigeria. That and Nigeria doesn't really inspire much confidence, particularly when you consider that the people at the helm of all affairs in Nigeria didn't really do much education to start with.

Any 10million naira investment you make today in Nigeria will give you a profit of 50,000naira daily after all expenses has been taken out. Nigerians really need to start thinking
And u forgot that £11k that is 10m now was around N9k in the past but ur leaders in Nigeria destroyed the economy.

I thank God that we still have people like you in Nigeria. The biggest deception that has consumed many Nigeria youth is believing that studying abroad is equivalent to success.

Nigeria is passing through tough times but there are still two sectors that are worth investing - Oil and Gas / Transportation. If a youth learn the mode of operation of any of these two sectors and invest #5 million into it, he can generate over #50 million within three year. I am speaking from experience.

Such a youth can then enroll for an online course at any of the UK Universities. The certificate is just to make him to become one of the elite in our society since our people so much value UK education.

Studying abroad is meant for the children of the elites and not for hustlers. Any hustler who spend his savings studying in UK has turn himself into a White- man slave.
Pls send me a comprehensive write up on how to invest in oil and gas with N5m in Nigeria..

They did not destroy the economy. The economy is even better now. Inspite of the high conversation rate Nigerians are still paying. The application rate has increased compared to the past. Meaning Nigerians have more money than before. The Nigerian economy presently is the best in the world. People actually own things. In America or Europe you own nothing. Shithole was part of bad names Igbos was calling Nigeria during the biafra thing..

I have no problem with Japa. Nigeria loves traveling. It has always been like that since way back. But UK is one overrated country. Except you’re extremely lucky, which is just the same as it is everywhere else..

I know these people very well. I lived abroad for 10 years. All they do is mock Nigerians back home thinking they are better off when they know they are not. They jump on any negative news to justify why they left. Don't feel any sympathy for them. Check very well, they started the insult because that's all they can do when you tell them the truth that pains them to the bone, nobody will insult me and get away with it

But most of the people we tag millionaires here in Nigeria might not worth up to 710 million naira (1 million dollars) to be categorised as a millionaire in America should they leave Nigeria.

Many middle class in America would be categorised as millionaires if they come to Nigeria and change their worth to Naira.

If I have a total 500 million naira in my account,
would californians agree that I'm a millionaire?

I met a yorubas guy at one of the mortgage banks in Abuja about 7years ago. In the course of our discussion,I realised he just came back from the UK with his masters. Lo and behold I earned much more than him in the same industry.

So,one day, he came to me very worried that his pay was not what he was expecting and i told him if I were in his shoes,I would have used the same money he spent in UK to invest in something far better than going to the UK to study and later came back here and be hustling with us.

If the new government can successfully achieve a single digit inflation rate and an exchange rate of $1/N150-N200 (black market rate), I can assure you that 95% of those planning to leave the country will halt plans immediately. In fact, the word "japa" will cease to exist.

The above does not apply to those travelling for leisure and all that. It is strictly for those that want to make money overseas. The number one motivation for the high rate of migration in this era is the fact that, when people convert their $2000 to Naira, they get over a million Naira. Increase the value of the Naira and majority will stay back.

It is possible. If;
We can stop 95% of what we import to boost our local production.
95% of Nigeria are paying proper tax.

Now do you think this is possible? Nigerians that don’t even love their own local made rice..

I am even tired of advising people to go outside and study, don't go.
Remain in Nigeria and keep earning peanuts hoping to be imaginary Dangote someday grin

I disagree. As early as 2013, the exchange rate wasn't this bad and we weren't producing 95% (not even 50%) of what we consume.

USA is the greatest consuming nation in the world. The trick is to ensure mass exportation by leveraging our comparative advantage like oil, agriculture, entertainment, and minerals. 10% of our mineral resources alone is enough to increase our current FDI by 70% in 4-5 years. We don't have to locally produce our phones or laptops if we don't have the brains to do that.
