What about ezionum

Ajeh/Otofe

Ughelli is lower than Ezionum... Even kwale is lower

So Ezionum main town doesn't experience flood. Never seen flood here. Maybe after heavy rainfall, the water would run off after few hours to the bushes. That's where the water stays

My fruit business is gone. A lady with money overnight became a IDP camp residence.

God help me at this point of my life. Lokoja what did I do to you?

My son's school submerged. I'm depressed currently. The government aren't providing the requisite incentives for us.

Feeding is becoming difficult. God make my feet come back. I only have you lord.

Why is Nigerians so stupid? every problem start and end with politicians.
What is the duty of those stupid shameless traditional leaders? Just to marry as many they want with tax payer money and satisfy their material and sexual urges with Instagram slay queens, what of the criminal religious religious leaders? 96% of Nigerians don't pay tax but they pay tithe on weekly basis to those thieves called men of God. What of the NGO? Those collect aids and grants for international donor and enrich themselves with it.

What is this one saying? So Pastors and NGOs should use their revenue for government work? undecided

I don't mean you should laugh, but I mean why should you be sorry for what you are not the cause?

Be strong, hope you are safe now or hope you're in a safe place, quick recovery from the loss, etc., would have been suitable.

Well, it is a general Nigeria(Africa at large) thingy.
I determine MY responses for a situation sir.
And my response to him was NOT wrong.
Have a pleasant day ahead

is this really the actual cause or some speculation?
It's actually the cause. The Nigerian government were to build a dam for this reason long ago but nothing has been done. Our own dam is to reduce the effect of havy rain so that flood can be controlled.

Part of the problem of flooding is also caused by stubborn Nigerians.
Look at the first picture. You see a bridge. The bridge is there because there is a river, water way, canal etc. Why will any sane person decide to build his house under the bridge, on the water partway, blocking the free flow of water, causing damage and flooding to others?
Government goes to pull down such structures and you see people complaining, saying church, mosque, political vendetta etc.
See the other day they pulled down odumejes church built on a drainage canal, nigger went mental that the gov was after him.

so how about the rest who did not build on the water way

Several parts of Nigeria have been hit by floods. Some people, families have been displaced. Some properties, farms, houses, cars have been swallowed up by flooding.

There are several reports of how floods are ravaging Kogi, Bayelsa, Nasarawa, Largos and other parts of the country.

According to a report by Vanguard, as at Sunday, October 16, 2022, the Federal Government, while assessing the current flood impact across the country, said the disaster had killed over 603 persons, displaced 1,302,589 more and partially destroyed over 108,393 hectares of farmlands across the country.

Also, 2,407 persons had been injured, 121,318 houses partially damaged, 82,053 houses totally wrecked and totally damaged 332,327 hectares of farmlands.

Flooding: Are you a victim, survivor or eyewitness?

The flood fell off my parents fence for the second time this year... This is so sadening .

Exactly a week after the first fall was fixed.

It hasn't gone down. The painful thing is that the government aren't providing the necessary materials to curb this menace.

My son is attacked with malaria and I wanted to get some drugs from the mobile health care but they seem not to have any.

I'm tired of this wreck government.

Even some streets in Ughelli are affected. The small lake at the back of my house is full. The water is already flooding the entire street. If the rain should continue, it will start entering houses.

This is the first time.
