Students won't fight fg to increase lecturers salary

They're paid for the number of days they worked.

Isn't that how the global acceptable standard in developed and saner climes.

I pity all the final year UG and PG students. From the feelers around campuses, no graduation, no NYSC mobilization. Only God can intervention we need at this moment. It's not only lecturers that are suffering from it. Businesses are suffering as well.

Because the minister of labour made sure the government does not pay the lecturers!
The same thing with what happened with the resident doctors and now we have massive doctor,nurse drain
Then add the input from the minister of education (this one na short one)

When people say lecturers didn't work and therefore should not be paid, I wonder at their ignorance. Their work schedule is lecturing, research and community service. If you pay them half salary for resuming mid October, then it's logical to continue lecturing, and doing other functions from the day of resumption. There's no need of compensating for the back log of duties. From my knowledge as a postgraduate student, these people work round the clock. Their work is not like the typical civil service work that resumes 8am and closes by 4pm, Monday to Friday
