Hey guys. Wanted to ask. If someone gets a new passport and already has an old passport stamped with the Canadian visa stamped, can the person still use the new passport at the border in Canada?

Please, does this mean the VOs have access to the current available balance in one’s account to make their decision? How about if one has a very good account statement and records including tuition fee been paid (and good explanation in the SOP), and then removed the funds before the final decision? What could happen in this case? Could the application still be rejected due to funds not readily available? Do they have access to the current account balance as at when making decisions?

Your account balance at the point you generated your statement is what they would have access to.
You can be asked for an updated statement for any reason and hopefully you have not withdrawn all and risk lump sum inflows to meet up.

Hello everyone...

If I am submitting my study permit application can I submit only 1 waec certificate if i have 2,asking because i have 2 from 2 different secondary schools as I wrote waec in ss2 from a different school and I only want to show the one I wrote from ss2 in a different school but on my previous visit visa application I mentioned only 1 of my secondary school which is the one I graduated from but the degree I want to submit is not from that secondary school I graduated from cause the grades aren’t that high compared to the other so is it ok if I just give an explanation that I’m submitting this degree because this is my best degree or would it be flagged as misrepresentation?

Compliments all. Abeg make una answer me.
I've posted before without any response.
I'm a civil servant while my husband is in the private sector.
I wish to take study leave but with pay for my masters program in Canada Fall 2023.
I don't have much fund and my spouse will not be able to sponsor me but I will be able to pay tuition fee especially as my salary will be running. Also if my husband eventually gets SOWP he will be supporting me too.

Can I use my maternal cousin as my sponsor?

Secondly I read Business Management 2.1 in 2007 but my work is related to teaching as I'm a training officer. I got this job in 2013.
Can I apply for Curriculum Learning and teaching at Memorial university?

My friend asked me to apply there because she lives at St John's and she has afro kitchen business that I can support and earn from there too.

I take God beg una make una answer me o
May God bless all the people working tirelessly to keep this platform running.

Hi Ibaka,

so please are you saying this SMS fee is optional.

My dad did his biometrics at the Lagos VFS office and gott his PPR yesterday.

Before I could wake up, he had sent out his passports and all documents to the Lagos VFS office via DHL.

Now I am worried as he did not pay the 990 SMS fee and I dont know what the implication would be.

ibaka:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for writing to VFS Global Canada, Nigeria.
Kindly confirm if you have been sent a letter by the IRCC requesting for your passport. If so, be informed that the Embassy has the actual processing time .Once you have received notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, you are to submit all passports strictly by Courier services ONLY. You can send in all required documents by the IRCC via a one-way courier process, using your preferred courier service agency (Red Star,UPS, FedEx, Dhl etc…) to the Visa Application Centre of VFS.
However, bear in mind that once the passport is ready for collection, after the process is completed from the Embassy, you will be contacted on how to make payment for the VFS in-house courier delivery process for passport return. For more details, kindly visit the website below and Feedback Email:  www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/nigeria

Documents to include in the package:

International Passport ( per applicant)

A dully Filled and printed copy of Vfs consent form (2 copies) (attached) or https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/can/apply-visa

Passport request letter from the IRCC

2 copies of passport data page (phone number and email address written on it (per applicant)

Collection slip after biometrics (per applicant)

* Proof of payment for Package Transmission fee per applicant ( 9410 + 990 sms fee optional)

All passports can be sent to the application center in one package.

Note: if you are submitting your passport in the same Centre where your biometrics was captured for that particular application, you are not required to pay the transmission fee. For applicants below 14 years they are to pay for package transmission fee since they did not enroll for biometrics.

Please visit the VFS Canada Visa Application Centre website,” Buy Services” page to find out more about the package transmission fees and the Centre addresses: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/can/buy-services

I think you should renew it. August 2023 is just around the corner. Please don't take that risk.

Thelz:

Please if you do not mind me asking, my passport will expire august next year which is more than 8months now ..does it mean I have to renew for new one before sending to them when they request for it..or can I still use it and renew when it expires ..please I need urgent answer on this because am in between renewing or leaving it because of stress and time it would take please
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tlk2Prince(m): 5:52pm On Nov 08, 2022
I told the security man at the front entrance that I came for passport collection and that was it.
When I got in, I did the same and picked a number, waited for my turn to be attended to and I was told by the attendant that my passport is not yet ready for collection..
Shugapee:

Hi who did you speak to when you went there. The security was very dismissive when I went

Submitted my application on July 6th
Did upfront medicals... it took them two good months to update it on the portal.
Eligibility hasn't even started, i've raised several web forms since then but keep getting generic responses. i've mailed several MP's too but they keep saying they cant render any assistance since i am outside Canada. Got a mail from my school on the 1st of NOV saying if i dont get my study permit by DEC 1st my offer will be withdrawn and my tuition deposit refunded. And the school doesnt offer Deferals

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tlk2Prince(m): 5:55pm On Nov 08, 2022
Passport submission is free if go to same location you did your biometrics. They go charge you 28k I think if you go to another location other where you did you biometrics.
dhamsleroy:
pls did u pay any money for the submission of your passport at VFS or was it free? pls i'd appreciate ur response
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tlk2Prince(m): 6:00pm On Nov 08, 2022
From what I know, you should have a vacant space in your data page for visa stamp and your passport should be valid for the duration of the visa.

Bro the issue of eligibility is not the problem I have seen many timeline here without eligibility update on portal but it might be running underground that my friend was talking about my own eligibility an he got his ppr last week without eligibility on his portal but was running underground
It will end in peace

Yes, I've paid my deposit and half of my tuition, I have a friend in Canada, so I sent the money to his GTB and he paid there through flywire. So if u have someone in Canada u can trust with your money, it will be easier for you. Also, i've read a few people here say they initiate the transaction on the flywire app and get their bank to transfer the money to flywire, I'm not sure how they do that.

I have a lot of space as this is my first time applying to leave the country...am just worried about the time limit and what was said here that your passport has to be valit till the duration of time you will stay in Canada if not they won't stamp it... That's my fear.

June 23rd

Medicals passed 5th August

Eligibility 24th September

Till now nothing!

Tomorrow makes its 19 weeks 6 days.

I don't even think our mails and webform helps. I feel when they are truly done, they are done. I feel you can't hasten the process.

Its a terrible system.

I lost faith and even stopped praying but I think felt more hopeless. I have kicked off round 2 fire for fire !! Who am I to lose hope and faith. Child of Grace. For God to give me money to pay Fees shows that he is here for me.

This canada wait has stolen a lot of fun moments and blessings that I would have treasured. The wait has stolen my Joy numerous times. I have been blessed since June till now but I always fail to tell God thank you because my mumu eyes the focused on Visa that i have overlooked what he has been doing for me.

The right time will always be the right time!!
