Who told you op that hippo is on the brink of extinction?? Abeg suffery dey lie

Fyi, hippopotamus is one of the most aggressive animals out there and it kills humans more than lions do. If it's not killed, it will definitely kill humans in that location.

Please shut up. This things have their natural habitants, that is why there is reservations, and people are not meant to encroach. Yes this hippo will be extint if it is constantly being killed people. Omo the country ad its people are just backwards.

Are you saying there are no hunters in Germany? Go to YouTube and you'll see tonnes of videos of "white" people hunting. But Nairalanders like you would always wanna make it look like it's a Nigerian/African or poverty-induced thing.

Read more on how hunting is done there and why they give details in hunting licenses. Stop using good English to justify African stewpidity

The Animal cruelty going on in Kogi state is alarming.

Today another Hippopotamus was killed in Lokoja making it the third one for this year alone. I don’t know the reason why an animal on the brink of extinction can’t be protected or left alone in it’s Natural habitat. It was Killed in Ganaja Axis of the River Niger/Benue..

Pls anyone that knows how we can contact the relevant authorities who can arrest and prosecute this poachers should let me know. I’m sad to see this happening in this age. The hippo was too large that it was a crane that was brought to lift it into a truck.

Lmao. Yes, animal cruelty is atrocious and should be seriously frowned at. But,

1. These people don't even know if there's such thing as 'animal cruelty'.
2. They don't know if anything could actually go into extinction or not. They don't even know the meaning of the word.
3. These are hungry Nigerians. The hunger in Nigeria today, it's by God's grace that people have not resorted to cannibalism in some places.
4. There is a lack of education on the subject of animal cruelty in Nigeria and how it adversely affect nature.

May the soul of the innocent hippo rest in peace smiley

After killing it, what next? Eat it? And after eating it, what next? undecided cry
A poor, ignorant and hungry nation.
What's with the senseless killing?
You encroach into their habitat and you still kill them.
If it were a situation of hippos terrorising lives, I understand. But a full-on attack? No. Not in support.
There's this pain in my heart I feel each time I see wildlife slaughtered needlessly and ignorant people defending it, whether by Nigerians or foreigners.

Deep sigh.

Am not into fishing, that answer your first question.
I don't need to know the exact laws guiding fishing anywhere but information available on net is enough to guide me on how and what to do if I want to.
I was supporting the position you made earlier about people doing things According to law.
I do not if you live close to where I am,then you may well understand my point

future on as a game reserve and keep cashing out dollars as revenue, you kill and eat for just a week max... Slavery mentality.

Nigeria has great potential, if our only or major source of income wa wildlife, we would have developed ours more than the Kenyans. Let me quickly draw you to places like Australia, u think Kenya have half the wildlife Oz has? No but they focus more on Gold and Iron.
In all, what Im trying to say is simple, leave Africans to live African ways don't make mockery of it just cos you are copying some western way of life, these guys dey go back dey laugh us wey we chose that school of thought trust me, I don live with them for 23 years. The Australian Govt gave special licence to the Aboriginals who are the real owners of Oz to live thier life as they once lived, the covers hunting, farming etc. So if these people can recognise that certain things need being left as it was who be we wey they try to forcefully adapt thier own way of life?

Irrespective of where u fish, having expired license is a no no either in England or America.
