Advise to others, be patient, and always check your email, make sure you're not missing any documents, you can try expedition if u got a good case/reason. But the wait is really frustrating,

Interview time not even up to 10minutes , but the wait and que is long sha, people many, I even dey sleep sef, waiting on my number to be called, waiting, passing checking points n all almost 2-3hrs. Interview time 7am, got there 6:30am n still meet crowd haha


Your police character and certificate is valid for 24months, 2years.. People keep saying I should get a new one since mine was over a year since I did it, but I didn't do another one, so long it's not up to 2years then you're good to go, no go dey waste money for no reason.

Hi everyone, update on my journey so far. My original interview date was Scheduled last month, just few days to my interview , LagosIV Ceac sent me email about rescheduling of my. Appointment due to incomplete documents. However, email was sent to me about uploading incomplete documents and I did upload/the documents (Tax Return and passport data page) that same day, I was surprised to receive another email from them that I have to reschedule for another appoinntment lol, me and my wife were mad cos she was with me waiting for my interview.

Furthermore, I insisted on going for my original interview, it was slated for 6.30am, I was there, queued up waiting to be ushered in, mind you they have everybody's names slated for interview in their list, my name was there but they marked it with red pen, meaning I cant be interviewed on that day due to incomplete documents on which I uploaded already o. I met with the CGI people, they told me me LagosIV will give me new date , meanwhile what was stated on the email is that I should look for a date by myself, if I don't see any i should keep on checking until date is available. Guys, at the moment, I'm still searching for a new date or waiting for them to send a new date to me, moreso my case file is showing 'READY' , so it don't have anything with NVC anymore, LagosIV is the one delayiing me. Another thing , the documents i was told to upload on their website is still showing 'SUBMITTED' after uploading it, meanwhile the old ones i submitted are showing 'ACCEPTED'.

My question is this, for the uploaded documents to be showing ' SUBMITTED'' , does it mean they havent reviewed it yet hence they've not given me fresh date??

LESSON TO EVERYONE :

Please, while waiting for your interview date, make sure all your documents are updated on their website.

If you renewed your passport after submiting the old one with them, please make sure you upload the current data page on their website ( I forgot to do that).

If you do your medical screening at Qlife or any designated clinic , please make sure they send your medical report to the embassy before your interview ( Some people were told to reschedule because of their medical report not sent to the embassy earlier). Same goes to Police Report.

Conclusion:

They have changed their policy, if your documents are not complete prior to your interview, they will ask you to reschedule your appointment. Please, make sure all your documents are intact to avoid what I am facing currently. No shaking guys, I am still hopeful my new date will be given to me as soon as possible, I don tire for naija lol. Remember i waited for almost 2 years before they sent my inital interview appointment.

I wish all of us the best. , and congratulations to some of us that have gotten their US IV Visas.

Not an issue. Just be ready to convince the CO about it cos they will ask you about it.

Please I need your advice on this matter.
I am single with 2 kids and my fiancé filed K1 for me and the boys as K2. Unfortunately we got denied.

So now we are getting married and she wants to file CR1 Visa for me and also include my 2 boys but I am worried of another denial.
So please what do you think we should do because the boys mum is still alive and she is aware that the boys were going with me.

I believe the CO was not convinced during my K1 interview , hence the denial. So what should I do now as my fiancé still wants to file for the boys along with me.

They can either do a visa on arrival or an Entry visa. For entry visa, they have to apply online @ https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/visa/freshVisa
Another portal is listed on the site for scheduling appointments, they should pick the closest embassy to them. After applying online and making payment they'll need to print out the receipt and some other documents to present during the preferred interview day. Scheduling an appointment date at the Nigerian Embassy is very important. Not sure how visa on arrival works.

16 months is a really long time. You should reach out to them and check the CEAC message board to be sure they haven't tried contacting you. People have been getting interviews in less than 12 months and wait times are reducing.

Thanks for your concern, but I think those people expedited. Am in the face book group and lots of people are yet to get interview. Some guys are even 17months on DQ yet no response. They last issued interview letters in September, and since then no news from their end….

Please, if my husband starts filing for me and after that i get pregnant and have the child before the visa interview. will my child move in with me? please let me know how this case works
