Seriously you want to confuse yourself, because you need to lie more to justify initial lies, and you need to have more storage in your brain to remember the lies, and your brain, finds it harder to remember things that did not happen, you will grow older than your age with all this stress you have decided to make for yourself

I cannot imagine dedicating some much time to lying, when i could have used that space in the brain to learn another skill.

Hello house. Is there any one that has this problem? It seems there is a part of my brain that is wired this way for years now.

While most people lie to escape punishment and blame etc, i tend to lie for no reason atall. Sometimes i need to lie further just to modify the initial lie.

Examples:
1. I went late to work because i had to take home some office files which i worked with all through the night. When asked, i lied to my boss that i had a compound dispute tha made me come late. Saying the truth would have earned me praises from my boss and saved me alot of stress.

2. I got injured at home. When my landlady asked how, i lied that i had a serious accident when going to work that morning.
I told her a long story about the accident scene and all. She was sympatizing with me and almost wept.

These are just few examples i can type now, there is more.

I can't help but lie most of the time i have conversation with people. Any advice?

Easy, I will tell you why and how to solve it. We were raised in a society of fear, fear of retribution, fear of not being loved, fear of not being wanted, fear that God will kill us and we will burn in the lake of fire.... you know the rest. So psychologically, self preservation leads us to lies. We were not trained to be brave, to be Courageous, to believe in ourselves, that we can succeed without anyone's help, that is why we lie.
To overcome this weakness, you have to gear yourself up to face consequences and understand that if you fail, there will be other opportunities, it will take some time and alot if failures for you to get it right.
But at the end, your words will be straight like an arrow and with it, fear will disappear from your life.

To simply put, it's it's now your addiction and this is caused by the constant use of it, its thereby comes your way of life.
Now that you recognize yourself, admit it's an addiction then fight like a plague before it stand against you. Cus lie will always be lie, it won't have much impact on you positively but rather discredit.
If you're an extrovert, restrict the rate at which you talk, avoid the urge to explain too much and always admit and be sorry for your errors.
