He's the Gov, his words are laws but there are procedures for getting things done in government.

State of Osun wasn't a pronouncement. It's a creation of law.

Send a Bill to the House of Assembly, call the leadership of the House, parley with them and let them reason with you on the need to change the name. Very simple. They will respect your office and listen to you.

The State of Osun House of Assembly has contradicted Governor Ademola Adeleke on the usage of the State Anthem, Crest and Flag, saying it is an enactment of law and as such, it's usage is a matter of law and not choice.

Oh, the issue arose after the election. Oyetola was shocked that Adeleke defeated him. He refused to congratulate Adeleke and eventually went to court.

After the election, the standard practice is to set up a transition committee. Oyetola refused to set it up, even after Adeleke/PDP addressed letters to him, in the regard. The transition committee would ensure a very smooth and easy hand over, with detailed information about the state of affairs. Maybe Oyetola thought that he could quickly win and would no longer need to hand over to Adeleke. Unfortunately for Oyetola, God had set that date up for Adeleke.

Next Oyetola curiously started promoting civil servants and appointing Permanent secretaries. He conducted local government elections, which he could not do in his four years. According to information received, he awarded bogus contracts and started paying out large funds. Adeleke was watching and warned those promoted that all actions taken within those days would be reversed. He warned Oyetola that his actions would be reversed. That’s exactly what we see today.

Painful as it is, Oyetola’s refusal for cooperation caused it all.

That was it! Were you in Osun state during the election? Majority of TOP members of the faction of APC in Osun state under Aregbe supported and voted for Ademola. Deji sent their own money to them separately during the election. Najeem Salam, former speaker in Osun state, a member of TOP under Aregbe openly declared his support for Ademola and directed his followers to vote for PDP. And that's how it was throughout the state. Even till now, they don't regret their action.
