aestake:na you talk am. You no work but you wan chop. You went on strike for 8 months, you went about doing business left right and center. You left students in jeopardy, all you were interested in was business. You felt you could prove the government wrong that you could make more than what you were being paid. You call it stipend. Now, you want to eat your cake and have it. Its not done. |

It is obvious that many people do not know the job description of a lecturer. The work of a lecturer includes teaching, research and community service. In fact, teaching is rated just 15 percent. You may wish to get the yearly appraisal form and see the ratings of these three areas. Lecturers only suspended 15 percent of their job, so salary cannot be suspended 100 percent. The lecturers carried out the other two aspects of their job while the strike lasted. It is, therefore, childish and ignorant to say that lecturers did not work within the 8 months. It is simple, no payment in arrears, no work in arrears! 1 Like 1 Share |

All the research they have been doing for donkey years ordinary mosquito coil your lecturers can not produce. Nonsense There are many research findings but nobody is ready to commercialised them. Nigerians are talented people. Recently, Nigerian lecturers had a breakthrough research on vaccine production. https://tetfund.gov.ng/2022/11/19/press-release/ |

ASUU, fight for your rights. Even the drop outs insulting you know that govt is owing you earned allowance for years, and they get to drop a little only when you go on strike. Pending the payment of all your owed earned allowance, limit the size of your classes and contact periods to what your regulation stipulate. Govt set you up to go on strike and ignored you for months while on strike. Pending the release of your full with held salaries, suspend all work relating to that session. |
