Food is really expensive inbthe south unlike the North. With 1k you can still cook soup that will last for 3days in the North. Am talking about vegetable with panla fish.

Things are insanely expensive. Sometimes you spend 50k shopping and you can’t help wondering how people on 20k monthly salary are coping.

According to a trader I buy from, she said foodstuff from the North are not as expensive when they buy them there, but the cost of moving it down to the South is high. When they get here, various unions would still tax them. They add all this to the selling price and it still trickles down to the cooked food.

How much is cooking gas now?
Rent? Vegetable oil? Electricity?


I'm in the north. Food stuff are also very expensive here.

If Dollar based commodities are expensive it understandable because their prices are determined by dollars. My concern is. Nigerian foods especially Nigerian rice!

It was caused by APC government and the wicked masses. PDP ain't saints but things weren't this bad during their tenure.


Most Nigerians are wicked in nature, they take advantage of every situation to inflate prices....."Customer e don cost o" is what traders always tell you but when e cheap dem nor go talk. They will maintain the prices like that and even start increasing it further.

It is because farmers can no longer access their farms safely. The few ones who are able to access their farms has to pay bandits before they can plant and also pay before they can harvest. In other cases, some lose their farms to ravaging herdsmen and their cattle while others were even killed in their farms

Moreover, the Russia and Ukraine war also affected the farm products imported from that region, in addition to high level inflation occasion by the war in Ukraine
