What motivated you to think of Kazakhstan in the first place before we can start advising you

Where on earth is Kazakhstan, I've never heard about the country before. You should be the one to enlighten us about the place because I am sure you must have done your research before choosing to migrate to the country.

It's a very beautiful place, it's just like United Kingdom, the cost of living is very sheep, the people are very friendly, the weather is very friendly too, their standard of education is just like that of UK and it's very easy to get a job there. My landlord lived there for 25 years before relocating to Afghanistan after all members of his family were killed by the people.

Kazakhstan is to Russia what Canada is to the US. It's a very huge country, almost three times bigger than Nigeria but less than thirty million people, they majorly speak russian and are within the Russian sphere of cultural influence.

It's a place you'll go and feel like you're in a different world. English will become obsolete and everyone looks different. Black people there are a novelty, so you'll be stared at everywhere you go. They are Asians.

If you have a legal residency and a good source of income, in my view, it's better than lots of Western countries. Kazakhs are known for their hospitality, and they are majorly Muslims.

And their women are very feminine, so those bosse b!tch, masculine, cursing, feminist morons ain't the norm. Family is really important to them and you'll hardly marry their citizen not because they are racist, but because their parent won't let you leave Kazakhstan with their daughter.

But if you can learn the language, and integrate, you'll love it. It's truly a beautiful country. I have a friend there in Almaty. He always visit western European countries but goes back to Kazakhstan. He loved it there and he is Kenyan, an English teacher. He lives in Almaty.

Make sure you go legally, integrate and respect their culture. Then you'll come to love it. And if you like horse meat, it's a typical food there. Choose Almaty, it's like the Lagos of Kazakhstan and most importantly, it's warmer.

You have to learn Russian language to survive and there few blacks there

I'm still looking for the thread, it happened o. Very sad story. He was too ashamed to face the people that believes he has escaped to greener pastures, he eventually swallowed poison substance in the friend's house he was hiding/squatting in. It made news and was posted on same Nairaland sef.

They r far morr better developed and richer than Naija.

Exactly. The countey is thrash. The people are not friendly, the economy is worse than that of Nigeria, the weather is harsh to the extent that in some locations like Atyrau, you have to wake up early enough to warm your car otherwise it wont start cos of the immensely cold weather. Lastly, the cusine is whack. Their favorite is horse meat. Whoever eats that ? Majority of the foreigners there are there cos of oil company assignments.

I am curious whats your goal for going to this country. The passport is useless. Visa-free travel to only 75 countries. Its landlocked and dependent on Russia which at the moment is facing heavy sanctions from the west. Its economy is average. Even Nigeria has a better economy. What's the end goal?

If you even said you were going to Venezuela over this I won't judge you as Venezuelas passport allows you to travel the whole of EU without needing a visa even though it's economy is shit and it's completely unsafe but at least the passport. There's nothing Kazakhstan will give you at the moment and you will spend at least 5000 usd to relocate there. Better give yourself sense.

Kazakhstan isn't that bad. It's per capita income is about 4 times Nigeria. It matches that of Russia.

Found the thread about the nairalander that ran away to Kazakhstan. He got there in early May, he was so full of excitement about how "developed" the country was. What he didn't know was that the development started and ended in the airport he was posting from.

Reality hit him when he realized that the visa agent fraudulently collected $2000 for a useless six months visa which couldn't be used to find work anywhere in the country (not that there were jobs flowing everywhere, the language barrier made it impossible to get any type of work). He did a thread about his horrid experience in the country and warned Nigerians not to be fooled by any agent into coming there.

He eventually returned to Nigeria in July with nothing and went to hide in a friend's place in Abuja. He couldn't tell his people he was back due to shame I guess. Few days after his arrival, he committed suicide while he was alone in the friend's house. The story was reported in this thread below
