Too much bloodshed in the land.
And that blood cries against the inhabitants of such a land, Nigeria needs Divine mercy, if not, the innocent blood shed across the country, will keep crying out for justice for the celestial realms to bring judgement upon the land and the celestial realms will respond with quick justice, that is part of the reasons why nothing is working in that dead country called Nigeria sad

cheesy

CBN has branches across the country. If he wanted to expose the CBN governor, he would have to be in their HQ in abuja.

Plus, he would have protection. There are a lot of powerful people who want the CBN governor out right now...including elements in the DSS.

The case could be another case of mundane crime.

Finally, Nigeria is poor not because of WEF...but because we take funny economic decisions like selling fuel that should cost N300 and above at N180, and paying a subsidy that can never cover the resulting loss....which eats more and more of our budget...and drives us to IMF for more loans.

This is the Nigeria APC created for us within seven years, yet they feel entitled to another term of eight years so they can turn Nigeria to headquarter of Hell on earth.

fyi: Ibara GRA is one of the safest neighbourhoods in Abeokuta, so if you think you're immune to these atrocities as a 30k-per-month BMC/BATified stink-bug, you should think again

What a way to start the New Year! While some were in church thanking God for granting them the grace to see a New Year, others were scheming evil against their fellow man.

This is just one of the many reasons (asides amassing wealth) why the upper middle class keep "japa-ing" to countries they consider safer.

Husband is a senior staff at CBN, wife is a principal officer in a federal university. What else could they ask God for in terms of financial stability? No matter how much you earn, you are not safe in Nigeria. If you are poor, problem, if you are rich, problem, if you are in the middle class living low-key, problem.

If you are the most successful amongst your family or friends, problem. If you are known in church or mosque, problem. If you own an expensive car, problem, if you own an average car, problem.

Just before this news, is that of a woman who came to Nigeria with her kids to celebrate the Yuletide at her late husband's place in Owerri but lost one of the kids on New Year Eve to a gunshot wound on the stomach. Guess who shot the 5 year old? Her 'policeman' uncle.

Nigeria will disgrace you if you are not careful and prayerful

I suspect he might have frustrated the plans of some corrupt persons in CBN and he had to be eliminated. This might be a warning to others.

I have a Christian brother who was glad he retired at 60. The pressure on him to compromise was becoming life threatening and he did not want to lose his good name with God.

He did not want to be a deceased patriot. He was glad enough to be an integrity keeper.

Yes, we have to vote out APC...but even if your preferred leader was in power...nothing would have changed.

First, people are evil. Plain evil. Just now in the usa....there is a crime issue. Four students were murdered in their homes in 'a safe place'.. And as far as I know, Buhari is not in charge of the USA.

Second, the police is not well funded. We spend less than one billion dollars to police 200m people. New York spends about ten times that to police 25m people. Yet, we expect NPF to have repsonse times and behavior similar to NYPD. Impossicant.

Me, I want APC out. But if we want a well funded and 'working police force....we need things like higher taxes, removal of subsidy, and transition to a productive economy. But no...we will shout we are poor...and Peter Obi will hear us, and pay subsidy, not tax most people, and take more loans to cover the difference....

But even if we have a well funded police force...it won't stop murder. New York has a high crime rate.

Thats right, They could find some clues.
Its so brutal, if they can find the Son, they will have more clues on who the killer is, i just hope the Son returns safely.

the probability of son return alive is slim because those theif will do anything to cover their track.

Maybe they place bounty of 1m or more on anyone with useful information on how to catch those bastard. Their co-worker should be question and maybe motivated with cash as well. We might have someone who will talk.

Police protection for anyone who is ready to snitch ( though Nigeria don't offer such)

A responsible president can correct all these anomalies you've mentioned with just a few strokes of the pen.

NB: the bulk of subsidy money is being stolen by regime insiders, via inflated nationwide consumption figures. It has very little to do with pump price of PMS.

When I see this type of news the first thing I remember is the word of God which says no leaf can drop from a tree without the fore knowledge and approval of God. Many of these deaths are due to repercussions, and vengeance, it may not be from the victim but from their predecessors, karma is very real and when anyone decides to become an enemy of God by worshipping the devil or doing evil it is inevitable evil must locate the person or his or her Progeny. A child trained with blood money may die at the height of his success even though the one used for the ritual may have erred and invited such evil one way or the other. God is not slack in protecting His own and will never abandon those that truly fear Him, the only problem is what your parents might have done which you may not be aware of and which you may have to suffer for, that's why this world keep getting worse because people do evil with reckless abandon, I'm sure those assassin's have or intend to have children, you can imagine what will happen to them if they are not prayerful and if it happens to their children or themselves after many years people will still be surprised and sad like this case blaming the government or the society.

If there is a president in the world that has completely eliminated murder from his country to the point that there has been zero murders in the last ten years, please let me know.

No leader has ever eliminated crime.

NB: the bulk of subsidy money is being stolen by regime insiders, via inflated nationwide consumption figures. It has very little to do with pump price of PMS.

Well, subsidy has a lot to do with PMS price, otherwise we would be paying N500 and above for one liter of fuel.

Also, while stealing does happen, most of the subsidy money goes to NNPC...to cover the loss it makes bringing in fuel (right now at N510 per liter, last year June at N261)...and selling it at N148 to depot. If it was being stolen, NNPC would have collapsed.

The big men and poor people sell subsidized fuel across the border in bulk to countries where fuel is over N400 and above like all our neighbours...that is where we lose money.

Removing subsidy would end all the stealing and the smuggling....because you cannot sell something at a loss, and not expect corruption.

The USSR used to practice price controls. Save for a brief period in the 1970's when high oil prices meant they had enough money...for a very long time, in the USSR, you had to queue to buy food and other essentials in many places. Because price controls...which are inherent in many subsides..wreck the profit motive...and the incentive to be productive.

(Yes, I know removing subsides means high prices for everyone...but eventually we would get more investment, more refineries, and eventually more income and more jobs. I consider it a fair trade)
