Very I must say.
The locals (whites) are really friendly and are ready to answer your questions if you are lost or confused. I rode the bus to school free to and fro for 2 days cos I'm yet to get my bus pass from school (i explained to the driver with cash in my hand tho). The blacks are hostile for no reason.

It's almost as tho I'm in India rather than Canada lol, the Indians are everywhere but occasionally you will meet the real Canadians.
I think I am the only Nigerian in my class but will find out once classes resume.
Come with enough funds for living expenses o, no jokes, I'm now realizing the reason for the emphasis/visa rejections.
Accommodation is mad expensive, and groceries are cheap but before you know it you don spend "ALOT".

Like @aestake said, there is constant light, water, and roads are tarred and wide.
Google map is a must or you loss literally.

Thanks for this information, I'll relay to my siblings. Our blacks are really funny people. Which schools do Nigerians attend because they're almost never anywhere.

I applied for my brother's study permit since Sept 23, 2022, did biometrics the next week. Since then crickets, sent several webforms and emails and got generic replies. Please are there other Sept 2022 applicants in the same boat?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by jjohndoe83: 4:42pm On Jan 05, 2023
"The blacks are always hostile"

This is absolutely false. Not only have you been in Canada for a short while, you've not met enough black people to make this very general statement. In fact, na oyinbo get crazy and wierd behaviour pass.

Make una no dey fall for this mentality that "black people are this, black people are that" because when the chips are down, you'll always find your way back to the people that look like you.

Compliment of the season to all,

I did my upfront medical on Dec 15, 2022 while I submitted my study permit application on Dec 29, 2022. I got an advice to go for biometrics that same Dec 29, 2022 which I have done today 5/1/23. My concern is that the upfront medical I did is yet to be updated on the portal till now, is there anything I need to do? I just want to be sure I am still on the right track. Your advice will go a long way to assist. Thanks

Pls where did you get the information of applying just once a year? Any website or you were told in a bank? Which bank?
johnstan:

It's a wire transfer you can initiate to your account abroad via form A at bank rate just like payment of school fees and PTA.
Banks now process the payment once a yr due to FX issues while school fees can be processed per semester.
The process now takes about 60 days just like school fees payment.

I hope this clarifies it.
