The once elegant and beautiful edifice, prided to be the tallest building in anambra state, or perhaps the whole of the south east region is now overtaken by weed and animals due to years of neglect.

It was never put to use. Looking at the environment will make one know it was built as a show of wealth. Whoever erected it had zero plan on what to do with it in the present. I bet he waited for the surrounding to become an industrial hub. The wish never came, hence what we see reported.

That building would have been better off at Onitsha than one backwater village where it can't be put to good use. The Maduka guy that owns it must be a money miss road.

The money Dr. Maduka makes in a day in his private practice is more than what most local government make in month in Nigeria. He can never be poor.

You guys should learn how to talk. Someone that spent additional of a minimum of 12 years after first degree to get to the pinnacle of medical career is never a “money miss road”. He worked for his money.

Obviously a classical example of white elephant project. The good Doctor didn’t have good advisers and wanted to modernize his village by building a solitary skyscraper in that wilderness. It will culturally not fit and cannot be physically maintained, and you don’t have to build it before you find those facts.
The inferiority complex from a retrogressive repugnant discriminatory custom ignited his yearning for acceptance, and was probably the driving force behind his entire success.
But with good advice, he could have done more acceptable things for the community and indeed for Anambra state as a whole. If building structures was his his choice, he could have provided dozens of small useful and manageable structures in form of utilities, social services hubs and housing estate ( in addition to the ones he had already built.
The lady narrator tried despite her raw and amateur approach and the terrible English accent.
