Of course it's clear that since
deregulated kerosene and diesel
are in the region of 800 to 900
per litre, petrol will come to the same
neighborhood without subsidy.

This is the measure of destruction
Buhari has visited on this country and
people are still talking of APC.👎👎👎

We must remember that when Buhari
came to power, all our refineries were
working but at reduced capacities. Our
fuel import then was to cover the shortfall.🛢️⛽️⛽️⛽️

Since he took over, both as president and
Minister Of Petroleum, he killed off
anything he touched, even against his
campaign promise of building at least 4
new refineries. We haven't spoken of the
damage the so-called military general
caused in the defense sector or agriculture

This man should be jailed for life.😐😐😐

Then you people will see the unthinkable.
Is it not because we're still buying it from you people that's why you're bold to continue with the hike?
We're ready to show you. Just try it.
I'm afraid nothing will happen. For a fact, many private cars in Nigeria and a whole lot of commercial buses and of course ALL the commercial light and heavy duty trucks use diesel. Just this 2020, diesel was sold for 230 naira but now it's being sold for 850 to 900 naira. I repeat, nothing will happen if petrol hits 800 naira, people are just exhausted and have given up on this administration.
Let us pray and hope that come February 25th, a new dawn shall be ushered into Nigeria in the form of Obidatti.

APC and Buhari are bad, but

1.Deregulation of kerosene and diesel was done by GEJ

2.All 3 presidential candidates have backed subsidy removal

3.Consider this...in 2012, after GEJ raised fuel prices from N65 to N97, we were paying at least N2 per liter of fuel in subsides...now it is over N400 per liter.

Any government, even the incompetent ones, can see that this is a waste of money.

4.Calls for oil subsidy removal have been there since the late 1980's...and everytime Nigerians said NO.

And shall it be well for those campaigning for evil upon the country for another years? May it be for them as APC and Buhari as done to Nigeria in the past 7 years.

If Obi wins, he is going to remove subsidy. And it would be a sensible thing too.

Infact, any candidate who wins would have to remove subsidy. Thnaks to the massive loan taking of this admin, we are in debt. Subsidy removal is a way to lessen the burden of past debts, and have some extra money.

The alternative is keep subsidy, and end up with a situation where our entire budget is funded by loans, while subsidy is paid for by our revenue plus more loans. (No thanks).

If GEJ had not deregulated diesel and kerosene, the above paragraph would have been a reality since.

The price will go up significantly no doubt but later stabilize due to competition.

However, when the direct beneficiaries of subsidy by the government talk like this it is because they don’t want the subsidy to end.

They urged the Federal Government to ensure that all the necessary measures and infrastructure to ensure a less stressful subsidy removal regime were put in place before implementing the decision.

“If the government fails to take the appropriate measures, and they say they want to remove fuel subsidy, the situation will be worse than this, the masses will suffer. How can you remove subsidy and you don’t have this product (petrol),” the Secretary, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Abuja-Suleja, Mohammed Shuaibu, stated.

He added, “If the government removes subsidy, where is the product? If you are removing subsidy, maybe by that time, the way diesel is sold at between N800 – N900/litre, we could be buying petrol at N800/litre, if not more than that.

A simple process is being explained to you all and still foolishness is being exhibited by most of you, what do you people think the role of government in countries are ? The role is government is simply to protect and provide for the citizens and not to make things harder, subsidy cannot be removed when government whose role is to alleviate the suffering of the masses have not been able to do it,they (government) cannot remove subsidy when there is no infrastructural improvement in the petroleum industry that will make the petroleum products more affordable to the citizens, presently the citizens provide 50 to 60 percentage of their electricity by themselves via generator sets which is powered by fuel and diesel, transportation cost would skyrocket due to the removal of the subsidy etc, make una dey try get sense before una type words, government must do their part before subsidy is removed otherwise make the country part, arewa to there side,Biafra to their side, oduduwa to their side and Niger-delta to their side.

The issue all these brainless leaders
are all singing is "removal of subsidy'.

The question is, why did we as a nation
decide to kill our own refineries and
prefer to patronize other countries, thereby
visiting poverty and unemployment on
our people❓

It's basically like the biggest cassava
producer in a town, who has a very large
family, but decides to buy all his garri &
akpu from the open market. Don't you
think it's a waste of money❓

If we are deregulating, have we thought
of the impact on the citizens who are
paid minimum wage of about 💲40/month
or even less than💲25 in the informal
sector❓

Today, a bag of fertilizer is approaching
N30k because of Buhari's bad economic
policies and that is part of the cause of
astronomical price of food .
