It is just the normal process, log in to the page and follow the instructions, read through ,very easy to do.
Make sure you have filled and submitted your ds- 160 and update your profile with the ds-160 with the barcode and have your visa fee receipt then go ahead .

It's strange. I have a similar situation, but mine is IW. The status was "Application received" for 7weeks but the "case updated" date changed 3 times during the period. Then last week, it suddenly changed to "No status" which made me suspect they needed me to show for an interview, in which case they would send my passport back to me. But my passport has still not been released. Called them and they confirmed that my passport is still with the consulate/embassy, and said they would initiate an escalation to find out why the "No status". Still waiting for feedback.

My cousin's old mom was denied a B1/B2 non-immigrant visa yesterday. The guy is based in USA. He has a green card. He's been there for over 13 years. The mom is about 80 years. I took her there yesterday for her interview, but they turned me back and said she will be the only one to go in.

Later she came out with the international passport and a blue paper. I asked what happened and she said the white guy asked what does she do in Nigeria. She said she's a widow and she doesn't do anything (don't know if they expect an 80 year old woman to be working)

They asked how long her son has been there, and she said over 13 years.

They finally asked what she was going to USA to do, and she said she wants to go visit her son(for visit)

They told her she wasn't qualified.

I applied for a visiting visa alongside my family in December 2022. Got appointment date for January 6, 2023. VISA APPROVED with no document requested. Grace followed me sha. I’m on a student visa in the Uk. Though I’ve finished studying but my BRP is still valid. For another 2months.

Go to the US site. Apply and include a genuine purpose for travelling. Get a date for appointment and get in touch. I might help

When I was filling my profile I did not know I was meant to dissociate dependents but went ahead on the page till a page that said due to your responses to the previous IW question you should go back to step 2 to schedule a physical Interview “ which I obviously did not. I simply logged out from the profile . The following day I called the cgi customer care and instructed me to log back into the profile afresh, on getting to where the dependents are, I should dissociate them by clicking on the “x” icon. I did as instructed and completed the IW scheduling and by the following morning, I got an email to go ahead to book a date for drop off ( January and February were available as at then.
For my dependents, I sent their individual email addresses with their biodata page to the customer service and immediately a default password was sent which enabled to apply for the IW appointment date and immediately again, the approval email were sent and the dates were scheduled.

I feel this might help someone. Thanks

Same here.I appled Jan 17th and saw on the screen thatvrequest has been submitted.Since then no email or response.I fill the feedback on my profile, they responded that request has been received and i will get a mail once approved.Please does it take so long to get this mail or did i do something wrong?Anyone that has experienced this?

I helped a family friend of mine to apply for tourist visa and was granted to him and his wife. They visited the US last year.

They are planning to visit the US this year July and will love to go along with their son, I tried booking an appointment with the principal profile on ustraveldocs, whenever I get to putting the receipt number for the son it brings out a cumulative amount for both the principal and the dependent.

The principal already has a visa. I have send series of mail to them and they keep telling me to remove all dependents at step 6 and still no headway.

I want to know if it is not possible to add a dependent when you already have a visa. Or what can I do?

Believe u me I did all u said exactly and we are still waiting for the email. I just called them again and they said I should wait that everything looks ok at their end. This is 2 weeks and not one of my family members has gotten a mail to schedule an appointment. I truly don’t know what to do again. Pls if anyone has been in this position they should tell me what they did.

Honestly it’s frustrating. Just called them again and they said wait. This is just for the mail to schedule. I’m even beginning to wonder if I did something wrong while applying.

I contacted them today and they responded that they will review it. Someone said she waited for one month before the approval came.

Hello so the IW also called drop box u can only do this at two centers in Lagos the specified DHL office in ikeja and Isolo. And pick up at your chosen state I think 6 states but lagos is either VI or Isolo, Ibadan it’s at DHL ring road which you have to make payment of about #6,400.
2) My mum and I went for the submission at ikeja so apparently she doesn’t need to come cos I basically did the submission for her.
3) she got a message back after a week to pick up. But I really don’t know what the time line will be now that there are more openings.

Please just for clarification, I think one can drop application at V.I DHL too because that's what I chose or am I mistaken
