I have been to Seoul, South Korea.
Very beautiful city. See speed of Internet. Wow. South Korea is so beautiful.
The only observations I had is their atmosphere. Muggy air - they say it's from industries in China and they speak only 1 language- Korean. If u get lost there, u are on your own.

I decided to travel to South Korea last year after developing a huge wanderlust to visit the country. I visited Seoul, Jeonju, Boseong, Namwon and Busan.

I found it to be a very beautiful country. Some of my favourite things include the food, ease of transportation around the country and Korean architecture. I will start off this thread with how I got my visa and how to travel from Nigeria to South Korea.

Feel free to ask me any questions about visiting South Korea. Please note that I do not know much about moving there. I will only be able to respond to questions about visiting as a tourist.

I hope you enjoy the stories. I will post as fast as I can but might be slow too... smiley
Did you apply with your Nigerian passport or a foreign one?

I would like to visit South Korea or Japan. But I don't want to stress myself getting a visa if it is difficult for Nigerian passport holders to get one

Guess the hand holding the icecream is Korean? And have you tried reverse image search and seen the pix elsewhere?

Will be lovely to learn how you came to that conclusion

Woah!

One would assume their air would be fresh and dewy, considering the trees and the look of the scenery.

After my time in Jeonju, I headed off to a famous tea plantation in a place called Boseong. It was quite a journey to get there due to several connections but the scenery was very worth it. I spent a few hours roaming around and tried some green tea beverages like Ice cream and tea and cookies. I liked everything apart from the ice cream.
Nice trip FAM . but how did u cope with their language? Their Money is also very low too.

it was a corporate trip. we had a translator. The hotel we stayed was an International Hotel, the receptionists understood passable English. Every morning, they would print the city map and and mark the hotel and where we were going to and hail taxi for us. Kia vehicles, beautiful cars. Their taxis have the electronic billing system. Once we stop, we see the amount and pay. And the translator takes over all day. She was hired for us, a Korean studying English in the university. We were always together throughout the 2vweeks we stayed, u dare not stroll alone.
Nice experience though.

My next stop was Namwon, a small town located a few hours away from Seoul. I found a nice, modern and affordable hanok (traditional house) hotel and decided to spend a night there. The hotel also had a beautiful garden with a nice pavilion right behind it. If you watch Kdramas, there have been quite a few dramas shot in this place. The meal in the first picture was from this town.
