Sleekilicious:Yes, I’m also gonna use one even if it’s expensive, most of my friends use them and they got the visa. They change $800 and reside in Canada. |

Please i need help. We contacted my cousin based in Canada so he can help me pay my fees to the school while we fund him back. (he is not borrowing us ooo. We are to send the money to him first). But he ended up like ruining everything by telling my mum that we should forget about school route, that i should consider using the immigration route so my kids and i can go together. He said that the possibility of me getting a Visa is slim to non because i have no travel history. He also said that i will suffer working while schooling because its extremely stressful The original plan was that i will go alone while my kids will stay with my mother (i'm a single mum). Guys please is it true i may not e given visa because i haven't traveled before? Lastly, i intended using an IRCC certified immigration consultant to handle my visa application. The turn of events is just confusing me. From what i read, express entry route takes years before it works out. |

Congratulations. You didnt have to paint your friend in a bad light. I am sure he did his best for you. No need denigrating him and then saying all that. You think he does not have need for money? You too will soon enter the abroad and see that it is more difficult to have spare funds to dole out to people either in the form of loan or dash. OkukuOne: |

Using an immigration Lawyer can be quite expensive. You can go through the materials here and do it yourself or use an immigration consultant. A registered one oh. You are already asking your friend for school fees to be paid back. How are you then going to get funds to make all the payments? Why don't try the Express Entry or dozens of other immigration routes available? While study visas are fast, it is only a small percentage that are being approved. Legitmenaija: |

megastu:I didn't ask him to to pay as in lend. The plan is to send the money to him and he pays for me. There is no borrowing anywhere please. The man is an immigration consultant registered with IRCC |

megastu:Hello sir, how long does the express entry route take? Assuming all factors are stable and funds isn't a problem. My cousin said if we start now, before December, it will work out. Summary of my profile below. My first degree is in Medical Laboratory Science and i have been working since i graduated in 2008. I have 3 kids. (i really do want to study though and advance my career. I have MSc offers from UK schools. Should i just leave the whole Canada thing and go UK and study Masters in Biomedical science then start processing for Canada express entry from there?) My head is full So confused at this point. |

Please dont, so many schools will give you admission with 3rd class. Just apply to several schools especially polytechnics'. Ensure they are an approve DLI . best of luck Ojadaddy28: |

Legitmenaija:Hello Ma, Your cousin is right on the bolded. Schooling and working abroad at the same time is a challenging task. However, it's worth it at the end of the day(If you go to a good country like Canada). Regarding visa, you will get your visa granted as long as you package your application well and pray ( A lot of people here got their visa without travel history) In my opinion, applying for express entry to Canada after MSC in the UK is a waste of resources (I don't want to sound like your cousin). I would say this , process the express entry thingy from Nigeria if you have all the requirements and patience(You would probably need to write IELTS, evaluate your certificate with WES, etc.) or proceed with your Canada study plan. |

Congratulations to me again I got my PPR on 19th January 2023 I promised to come back and share my timeline because the following week was my wedding (28th January 2023). It was really a targeted and timely prayer answered It was my second time applying for Canada study permit. My first application was in May 17 2022 and I got refusal in Sept 22nd 2022 on the basis of finance and personal asset. I paid part payment tuition and I used a sponsor to show proof of fund. I didn't include any property or asset. My program is professional/vocational training course that will last for 77weeks at Toronto school of management. (Although It is not Pgwp approved, but I used this school because the program suits my profile alot so I was convinced I will not find it difficult with IRCC on other reasons except finance. I also have my plans how to navigate to PR) I have already written my timeline for the first application. Kindly check my profile. What I did differently in my second application I reapplied on November 11, without receiving GCMS note report. I believed I knew what the problem was. So I took the step. 1. I paid full tuition for 52weeks(1year) 2. My sponsor sent Dollars to my Dom Account which I used to buy GIC and also to show proof for remaining tuition (25weeks) 3. I bought GIC through CIBC for 14970 USD (Wanted doing 15k but due to international bank charges it went down) 3. I showed 5000USD bank statement in my Dom Account to cover the remaining 25weeks tuition of about 4600CAD. I did MBS. ( Please ensure to do MBS while showing your proof of fund) 4. I drafted gift of deed for 2storey building 'given' to me by my late father, with the help of a lawyer, notorized and stamped. Please Make sure you add a Survey plan in this kind of deed of gift. 5. I drafted a car receipt with Custom clearing documents. 6. My sponsor also wrote a sponsorship letter to show that she sent the money to me and also promised to give me more. 7. Make sure there is a substantial connection between you and your sponsor. In my case, my sponsor is my fiance and not a Nigerian. I showed many other documents to show our intention of getting married. Our Pictures, application document for our court marriage, her approved visa to Nigeria for the wedding, family and friends consent (all notorized) etc. 8. I only did 1page letter of explanation. But also included my previous SOP with a little update and all other documents I sent in my first application. No amount of document is too much for IRCC. Anything relevant you can lay your hands on, please send them 😂. 9. My pension was just 800k 10. I took part fully in the 14days praying and fasting of my church from 9th January to 22nd January 2023. Las las without God, your documents is like ordinary paper. God is faithful. I am so happy. I asked God for my wedding gift and also I asked God to give me my own testimony before the end of the fast. God did it. I am very happy. There is nothing God can not do. Please note, if you send me email or Whasapp regarding assisting you , kindly go straight with your questions. I will be glad to assist. But I may not be replying hi , hello, or casual chatting please. 🙏 |

Sounds like your cousin doesn't want you to come to Canada. Telling you that the possibility of getting a visa because of no travel history is a loophole to show he doesn't want you to come. I used a registered IRCC immigration expert and things are working out well. Dont let anyone fool you. Legitmenaija: |

Vlibray:Thank you sir. How long does the express entry visa take? With regards to working and schooling, i really do not mind at least its not forever. Its a 2 year program inclusive of 4 months work placement. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Bobomaigida: 9:22am On Feb 01, 2023 |
Vlibray:I beg to disagree, the primary aim is to study, which is why you have POF to cater for your expenses- this assertion that schooling and working will be hard is when the student is relying on earnings from work to take care of your expenses. If the student truely has the POF they claim they have then they will be fine. |

See if you can get an admission with a DLI that is approved for pgwp. So, when you get to Canada, you change to the school and update your profile. samy2big: |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Bobomaigida: 9:32am On Feb 01, 2023 |
Legitmenaija:Hi Legit. Please your cousin does not really want to assist you, that is why he/she is saying what they said. 1. Travel history is not a requirement for study permit. 2. Express entry will require you to write IELTS with high scores, evaluate your credentials, hope that age is on your side for you to get a high score when you enter the pool. 3. EE relies on your work experience too as marks are allocated based on the number of years you have worked. - From what you said that you started working in 2008, my guess will be that your age will be between 35-40. This is a drawback on EE, it means you have to score very high in IELTS and have a masters degree to have good score. Check online for express entry simulation tool and put your details to know what your score will be when you enter the pool. |
