DAramis:

I have no idea of this course though most schools GPA requirement seems to fall within 2.5 - 3.0 minimum requirement.

Just do massive search online. Sample on Google, type universities offering cybersecurity or computer science in USA
My GPA is 2.68/4
I made a mistake earlier

If they dont, why do they require your social media handle during application?

I think they ask that so during the interview , they can check and go through the social media account , that’s why it looks like they type endlessly at times . I’ve heard cases where the VO even commented on a LinkedIn he was checking out on his screen during interview. Also that will be a lot of work going through everyones social pages , you can imagine thousands of people with different handles .

Please house, for US visa application, without visa fee payment, can DS-160 visa application form be filled online?
Yes, you can if you've gotten your I-20.

-The school is best suited for your program with hands-on teaching/learning approach.
- Your mentor/advisers are well versed and published in their field.
- Low student to faculty ratio
- High on-time graduation rate.
NB: make sure you're loaded or funded $$

Thank you 🙏🏿.

Hi madam,
Is this related to Canadian visa or USA visa?
onyekachee:
What do you do to tackle the concerns of the visa officer on your gcms note stating that the purpose of visit is not a reasonable expense, despite having work experience relating to what you intend to study,is it advisable to change the course or throw more light on why you would want to study the course?

Thanks bro. You're correct, I have a MSc. But I didn't use it for the application process. Just my BSc.

Good morning everyone

Please I need an early appointment date for my F1 visa. Can someone please direct me on any links to search for an early appointment date
My resumption is in August

My GPA is 2.76/4
Not bad.

Also look towards private universities also. Might be easier to secure admission faster than public universities most times.

Dear Nairalanders,
Reading through this thread from 1-227, no one seems to have mentioned anything concerning any of the 7 institutions I applied to.
Something tells me I may be on a wrong path.
Please, advise.

University if Arkansas, Fayetteville
Fordham University, NY
George Washington University, DC
The Catholic University of America, DC
Duquesne University, Pittsburgh

I also applied to Louisiana State University, waiting for admission and funding.

Which program did you apply to @ LSU?

Lol Relax, you should try and relate with your graduate coordinators, they can give you first hand information of what is going on with your applications. Some of these schools can be so mute, you have to push to know what's going on.

This will be a challenge. You will need to pay the loan back at some point, which suggests to the VO that you have no intention of leaving after your studies and clearly cannot afford your study.

I'm confused with these you just said and I don't know if I should still go for the school financial aid application.

Financial aid doesn't require you to pay back… but loan does. Make sure you seek for clarification from your advisor or financial aid office.

You’re doing good. The fact that nobody has mentioned it does not mean that you’re the wrong path. You’re a unique individual with your unique skills and qualifications.

Somatohadidas:

After admission (and funding for those who need it), and you've decided where you want to go:

✅ Request for your i-20 from your school. Some give one or both of soft/hard copy, and you might pay shipping fee for hardcopy in some schools ($50 - $100). You'll usually supply details of passport page, ability to cover cost like funding letter or bank statement, etc. for this.

✅ Get the i-20. I'll suggest you request the e-copy even if the school wants to send hardcopy, so that you can use the details to book your visa interview while awaiting the hard copy. A4 printed of i-20 is acceptable at embassy. After i-20, the next 3 items can be in any order.

✅ Start filling your DS-160 form online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ . You can use this video as a guide when filling it: https://www.facebook.com/287980197932222/videos/318718789713853

✅ Create a CGI profile at https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-appointmentschedule.asp and pay for your visa fee, costs #67,200 with GT Bank, and book your date at your desired location if an available one shows.

✅ Pay Sevis fee. You can create a coupon at fmjfee.com but someone in the US has to pay it for you. It costs $350, but there might be a $10 processing fee and people's dollar rates differ. So expect a wide range when converted. To be safe, the payment must be confirmed at least 72 hours prior to your interview.

✅ Prepare for your interview and ace it.✌

✅ Book your flight, typical ranges can cost from 250k - 400k for cheapest ones depending on location, or go for the more expensive and comfortable ones.

Good luck.
