Meaning Lagos is owned by the Portuguese? I don’t think Seun is as smart as touted. It’s as dumb as saying Alaska belongs to Russia. Man should stop living in the past. Changing Lagos’ name won’t change its past or future either. 2 Likes |

Re: Lagos Means Slave Coast - Seun Kuti by Segzy19: 10:35am On Mar 08, 2023 |
Seun is wrong here. Before the Portuguese came to Lagos, there were people living there before. The aworis are the real owners of Lagos... Yoruba name for the place called Lagos is EKo... Portuguese came and named it Lagos because it looked like a place in Portugal. Who came to Lagos first, the Portuguese from another continent or the ancestral people? It is common sense, which is not always common anyway 6 Likes |

KGD10: You can't hate who and live on your soil. Listen to yourself speak.... He is a son of the soil. His father is a lagosian and that is where his heritage comes from not his mother's side. freeandfair247: One Iragbajian claims he is Lagos boy, City boy. He even claims he built Lagos. Lagos was mostly built with proceeds from crude oil from east of the Niger river. The peak period when Lagos was builduing, Gowon said Nigeria's problem was not money, but how to spend it 2 Likes 1 Share |

Lag-os means A DEAD AND FALLEN EMPIRE. Which is why the portion of Portugal called Lagos is always invaded by moors and the indigenes enslaved same way the indigenes of our Lagos were fallen and enslaved hence why they gave us the name to remember their own Lagos which is always falling and invaded by moorish Muslims and the indigenes enslaved hence why those people don’t look pure white over there. |
