๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ You humans watch too much hollywood.

There have been over 10 billion people that have lived on earth. Those that are recognized for being extraordinary, if we write thier names down, we probably won't use up one 80 leaves book.

like I said, the seed of greatness is planted in every humam being

The fact that you don't believe this truth shows that your mindset is very primitive and it does not belong to the 21st century age.

When a man become passionate for a particular knowledge, he becomes so obssed with the knowledge untill that knowledge becomes part of him. That is when you people will call that person a genuis.

Why? Because he dedicated countless hours perfecting his craft

Ask yourself, have you seen anybody dedicate countless hours on acquiring the perfect knowledge of their craft and still give a poor result?
The answer is no because it is only lazy minded people that will choose pleasure over the dedication to acquire the perfect knowledge that will give a poor result.

Thay is why we have millions of wasted talent and potential because those people choosed pleasure over their dedication and time to acquire the perfect knowledge on their craft.

It took me....decades to realize the purpose of school is to acquire knowledge in order to make informed decisions and not to carry papers. I am studying for PhD now and I enjoy learning and doing my work...this has also translated to personal life choices, tracking news and trends, analyzing data, picking the right investments and so on...if you don't immerse yourself into the true essence of learning, education will be useless to you.

Thank you for the nice words.

I have a BSc Chemistry...I am not working as a Chemist
I have a MSc Engineering...I am not working as an Engineer

I work as a teacher teaching Engineering, run my tutoring business that I started in Nigeria as a 16yr old going house to house in 1999-20 already making N8500 a month...and now into real estates small small in Nigeria. Your education is not meant to give a job even in your field of education..It's called applying yourself using the knowledge gained.

I still hustle but at 40, I am already planning my retirement and by the way...went to a public secondary school in Ibadan not some fancy expensive one.

1. Degree is not a waste of time. Knowledge of such great exposure can and will never be a waste of time..

2. Some people really underestimate the fact that nothing can exist out of nothing.. There is a God out there and only God decides who gets rich and who doesn't.

3. The only thing you can do to help your self is acquire every single knowledge that comes your way, hustle, pray and hope for the best.

4. Your current situation might actually be the best thing that can actually happen to someone. Do you even realise that some people can neither walk nor see?

Always thank God.

Sometimes I feel I made a serious mistake going to the tertiary institution.
I had my OND degree about 8 years ago after several months of job searching I realised I couldn't get a job with it and the OND is just as useless as ssce I decided to get a better degree I wrote jamb I got admitted to the university 5 years ago to study engineering.
Now in a few months to my graduation (if ASUU call off the strike) I feel I made a great mistake going back to school.
I feel all the efforts, time and money is be wasted.
I feel going back to school was a mirage cus after school will I still go back to the street as usual.
Do you ever regret going to school?

Anyone who regrets getting an education is clearly NOT educatedโ€ฆ
But of course getting a Nigerian โ€œdegreeโ€ is NOT necessarily synonymous with getting an education!

Regretting getting a degree is a subjective matter that varies from person to person. While some individuals may regret their decision to pursue a particular degree, many others find value and fulfillment in their educational achievements. Here are a few factors to consider when thinking about regretting a degree:

Career Alignment: One common reason for regretting a degree is if it doesn't align well with a person's career goals or interests. If someone discovers that their chosen field doesn't provide the opportunities or job satisfaction they anticipated, they may experience regret. However, it's important to note that career paths can evolve, and a degree can still provide transferable skills that may be useful in various professional contexts.

Financial Considerations: Another aspect that may contribute to regret is the financial burden associated with obtaining a degree. If the cost of education outweighs the benefits or if the degree doesn't lead to the expected increase in earning potential, individuals may feel regret about their investment. It's important to carefully assess the financial implications of pursuing a degree before making a decision.

Personal Growth and Learning: Many individuals value the personal growth, knowledge, and skills gained through their educational journey. Even if a degree doesn't directly translate into a specific career path, the learning experience can still be enriching and contribute to personal development. In such cases, regret may be less likely.

Alternative Paths: Sometimes individuals regret getting a degree because they realize that they could have pursued alternative paths such as vocational training, entrepreneurship, or gaining work experience. It's essential to evaluate all available options and consider individual strengths, interests, and long-term goals before committing to a degree program.

Ultimately, the decision to pursue a degree and any subsequent feelings of regret are highly personal. It's important to conduct thorough research, seek guidance from mentors or career advisors, and carefully consider your own aspirations and circumstances before embarking on a degree program.
