kkins25:like I said, the seed of greatness is planted in every humam being The fact that you don't believe this truth shows that your mindset is very primitive and it does not belong to the 21st century age. When a man become passionate for a particular knowledge, he becomes so obssed with the knowledge untill that knowledge becomes part of him. That is when you people will call that person a genuis. Why? Because he dedicated countless hours perfecting his craft Ask yourself, have you seen anybody dedicate countless hours on acquiring the perfect knowledge of their craft and still give a poor result? The answer is no because it is only lazy minded people that will choose pleasure over the dedication to acquire the perfect knowledge that will give a poor result. Thay is why we have millions of wasted talent and potential because those people choosed pleasure over their dedication and time to acquire the perfect knowledge on their craft. |

Thank you for the nice words. I have a BSc Chemistry...I am not working as a Chemist I have a MSc Engineering...I am not working as an Engineer I work as a teacher teaching Engineering, run my tutoring business that I started in Nigeria as a 16yr old going house to house in 1999-20 already making N8500 a month...and now into real estates small small in Nigeria. Your education is not meant to give a job even in your field of education..It's called applying yourself using the knowledge gained. I still hustle but at 40, I am already planning my retirement and by the way...went to a public secondary school in Ibadan not some fancy expensive one. Freo: 1 Like |

1. Degree is not a waste of time. Knowledge of such great exposure can and will never be a waste of time.. 2. Some people really underestimate the fact that nothing can exist out of nothing.. There is a God out there and only God decides who gets rich and who doesn't. 3. The only thing you can do to help your self is acquire every single knowledge that comes your way, hustle, pray and hope for the best. 4. Your current situation might actually be the best thing that can actually happen to someone. Do you even realise that some people can neither walk nor see? Always thank God. |

Sometimes I feel I made a serious mistake going to the tertiary institution. Anyone who regrets getting an education is clearly NOT educatedโฆ But of course getting a Nigerian โdegreeโ is NOT necessarily synonymous with getting an education! > 1 Like |

Regretting getting a degree is a subjective matter that varies from person to person. While some individuals may regret their decision to pursue a particular degree, many others find value and fulfillment in their educational achievements. Here are a few factors to consider when thinking about regretting a degree: Career Alignment: One common reason for regretting a degree is if it doesn't align well with a person's career goals or interests. If someone discovers that their chosen field doesn't provide the opportunities or job satisfaction they anticipated, they may experience regret. However, it's important to note that career paths can evolve, and a degree can still provide transferable skills that may be useful in various professional contexts. Financial Considerations: Another aspect that may contribute to regret is the financial burden associated with obtaining a degree. If the cost of education outweighs the benefits or if the degree doesn't lead to the expected increase in earning potential, individuals may feel regret about their investment. It's important to carefully assess the financial implications of pursuing a degree before making a decision. Personal Growth and Learning: Many individuals value the personal growth, knowledge, and skills gained through their educational journey. Even if a degree doesn't directly translate into a specific career path, the learning experience can still be enriching and contribute to personal development. In such cases, regret may be less likely. Alternative Paths: Sometimes individuals regret getting a degree because they realize that they could have pursued alternative paths such as vocational training, entrepreneurship, or gaining work experience. It's essential to evaluate all available options and consider individual strengths, interests, and long-term goals before committing to a degree program. Ultimately, the decision to pursue a degree and any subsequent feelings of regret are highly personal. It's important to conduct thorough research, seek guidance from mentors or career advisors, and carefully consider your own aspirations and circumstances before embarking on a degree program. |
