Lol 🤣 how do you refer to a booming and rewarding business as a growing concern. The hustling spirit of these students cum entrepreneurs is something to appreciate and commend because of their contribution to the mental wellbeing of our society.

The joy and excitement these chicks bring to a drowning married man or a fellow depressed nigga can never be overemphasized. The reward that these chicks also get for services rendered is a source of motivation and encouragement for their peers as well.

This is empowerment for our chicks and it helps to build capacity for the wise amongst them. grin

Na now day break?!

It was already out of hand over 10 years ago when some of us were still students.

As with every bad thing in this nation, it should be no surprise that it has horribly worsened!

Even the so called religious universities are not exempted.

The very Nigeria which watched violent gangs exist in tertiary institutions is powerless against this. God knows what vice the future will bring. Lazy human beings.

It is no longer news that politicians, lawmakers, businessmen and other well-placed men in the society are the major people patronizing female students.
How the thing wan end, na?

you will be amazed at the kind of flashy cars that come to pick up these young undergraduates for one function or the other.
They are young females. From the age of 18 - 24, women crave adventure. Couple this with the men being at the top of success in their respective fields and you’ll understand why the girls want to die there. Many recruit their friends because the life is too tempting.

Toke in her mid thirties (a decade where most women are settled into marriages) managed to hook a seventy plus year old. The lifestyle is hard to break from.

In many schools filled with priviledged children, girls are still tempted to enter the lifestyle out of curiosity.

Sha, this is Nairaland. Here na the headquarters of discussing issues without resolve. After this thread everyone will move on with life in three hours.

Worry only about prostitution because soon they will start doing drugs like the daughter of the senile old drug trafficker who will now preside over their affairs.

Has been there since the 1980s. Parents send their daughters to school only paying first semester 100 level fees , and the daughter is expected to hustle the rest to graduate. They become olosho, campus wife, yahoo girls etc to survive

God1000:
Nigeria is a morally bankrupt society

It all starts from our homes, proper upbringing of children is very important

So many parents these days don't teach their kids good morals, poor parenting is largely responsible.

It starts in the home but the first issue is that many people who cannot take care of themselves are raising children in strained circumstances when the truth is they have no business breeding.

I always young girls, when you enter the university, join a good fellowship gathering, be prayerful and God will provide.

Face the hard part now. The more devastating the storm, the sooner it will be over. I once knew a lady who came from a poor family. Very intelligent, diligent and God-fearing, she trusted God and never participated in all these 'I didn't have a choice' immoralities.

She graduated with good grades and by God's grace, was employed in a company. She told me her starting salary was about N6000 per day (180,000) per month.

During her school years she survived by using her brain. She tutored high school students, she had a choice.

Today, she has a marriage proposal from a decent but wealthy man. It's not about the government but the way you govern your life.

One of the greatest mysteries I see on nairaland is how people will immediately put blame on individuals (aka the girls) over examining if our society is responsible for this increasing trend.

Over the last 30 years, the cost of studying has sky rocketed , whereas real income adjusted for inflation has fallen. Many of these young girls are from families that can barely make ends meet, hence they resort to prostitution.

Majority of women who are prostitutes are desperate. Overwhelming, it has been studied and proven that poverty drives prostitution

APC government with their policies contributed to the increase in prostitution. The handwriting will be there that if they implement one stringent wicked policy, prostitution and other social vices will increase. And yet they will still do it.
