Dont let those answers fool ya. Uber, Amazon and co will run an e-verify and background check on you… Mind you, most states, if your I-94 is out of status, you shall be refused driver’s license… so how can do uber, doordash, amazon and co without driver’s license?
Also, work authorization is a federal requirement and it cannot be overridden by state. Immigration is on the exclusive list… and cannot be concurrently administered by state… I’m talking from my limited night school knowledge. Consult your immigration lawyer!
With ur fancy degree… good luck competing with Hispanics with massive technical edge a
nd experience over you.

Wrong answers to validate your opinions… eg, Walmart from a red state HQ is not going to lower their immigration/e-verify requirements in a blue state.
Dont set yourself up for unrealistic expectations.

Kenny, I think you're working yourself up over things I feel for now is not important. The first thing I feel you should focus on is to get admission and if possible funding from the school, then your I-20, visa appointment and then get your visa. When you get there you'll get real time advise from Nigerians, or/and international students who have passed the phase you intend to pass and then gather information as much as possible from them and use it legally to your advantage. I believe you should take things one step at a time.
All the best.

Good day fellow nairalander, I have some question to ask and clarify about visa appointment after filling ds 160.

I did visit ustraveldocs site and it redirected to cgifederal.secure.force loading and redirected me again to atlas.my.salesforces-suites.com
I just want to know if atlas.my.salesforce-sites.com because it use to be cgifederal.secure.force.com. I just want to know if atlas.my.salesforce-sites.com is the right site to book an appointment. I need clarification from those who did there own recently, if they experience similar thing.

Your sincere contributions will be highly appreciated

Visa type: F1
COA: $41000
Funding: $43000
Program: PHD engineering
Application status: Approved.
Embassy: Lagos

VO: hand me your passport and I20
ME: I handed her those, and greeted as well. She didn’t respond anyways.

VO: how old are you and when did you graduate?

ME: I told her

VO: why do you want to go graduate school now after years of graduating from school.

ME: I explained by telling her about my teaching experiences and connecting them to my ambition of taking up full time academic position in university.

VO: how did you get this funding?

ME: I came across a work by professor… which I found interesting me and sent her an email. She subsequently scheduled a zoom session with me. I was asked to apply after the interview, and I applied by submitting the required items.

VO: how did you come across her work? Did search about it or through other means. And I asked yes I searched for it.

VO: what question were you asked in the interview.

ME: she asked me questions concerning my research interests.

VO: what is your research interest.

ME: I told her.

VO: can you tell me about the project you’ll be working on with your PI

ME: I explained as much as I can, but I should have done better.

VO: nodded and did a long typing ( very fast).

VO: are you married ?

ME: no but in the process of completing the marriage rites of my fiancée

VO: where does she live? I answered PHC CITY

VO: nodded and asked “ hope you’ll complete it before you travel” and I answered yes.

VO: handed me the white paper and asked I should pick up my visa up in the next 6 business days.

ME: bows out and praised my God.

PS: I felt really bad that when I was unable to schedule interview I came here to seek solution but to nobody answered to my many questions. But the people here were quick to attack me when I made a post of how to retrieve my passport (visa) from Dhl .

You’re right. I just want to be sure that leaving the UK for the US is the best decision for me at this time that’s why I ask as much questions as I can from people in the system already. If I can make 2M here monthly while working part time as a student, I’m just wondering if America can offer me more. Man need growth bro.

Pls I need help

I am trying to book another appointment after my visa was denied in early January this year. Now the website keeps saying I would be informed via email when dates are available. Does anyone have this issue? Is it because I was earlier denied? should I change the option to never denied?

Secondly, I chose Abuja but was told to pick another consulate, so I chose Lagos.

Anyone with links to mock interview or date groups should kindly help me.

Thanks in anticipation.

Good morning house.
I must commend all those that have been responding to questions on this platform.
I must say that you people are wonderful.

Please is it advisable to get loan of 80K Usd to study a masters in a STEM Course in usa?

How much per hour can someone earn while a masters student in US?

Is it true that securing a loan to study is a trap for international students in Usa and heavy burden to pay back??

Thank you in advance.

While looking for information, don't be mislead. If things happen like the way this guy said, why are people still studying, why don't they just look for jobs?

The advice I'll give are practical ones that won't involve you shooting yourself in the leg Only to get here and be like "I wasn't told"

$30k in tuition isn't easy money. If it is, Americans won't be taking loans to go to school.

So, why don't you try and apply for an assistantship that'll get your tuition waived? Or better still, if you don't get it, if you have savings enough to cover your first year, that's good too. It's a 2yrs program and the only thing you can do to help yourself is to make sure your tuition is ready or covered in some ways. Don't believe the advice this individual gave you. I don't know why klawaa is giving you such advise, maybe it's what an average nigerian want to hear You won't raise $30k by working illegally and still studying at the same time. The money you get from Uber can sort you accomodations and utilities, but tuition??

😂 One reason people no longer give real advise and real situation is to avoid things like "you're discouraging me from japa" even from people who don't have passport yet. When you tell them to take GRE, TOEFL, and make their application standard so that they can get scholarships rather than coming here to be doing under the table job and suffer, they will think you're their enemy and you don't want them to japa. I used to think guy don't you like your tuition paid by the school? Why must you suffer to pay when others are getting theirs waived? Apply eith legal documents and watch the door opened for you .

But once you start giving them advice of how to japa using one border in Brazil or Portugal, they'll listen to you and they'll believe you. Things don't work this way. Do it legally and you'll enjoy it

Hi, please, my interview date is on 20, April. I was supposed to go for Spring admission by 18, January 2023 but because of the backlogs, I was given August before I later got April 20,2023. The school used my old account statement, which was $38000 at N422 by December last year, then the school asked me to have $35200 for my i-20, but I had $38000 in my account. But now that the dollars rates have changed, my first question is can I use the same account statement because that was used for my i-20? My second question is that is the account still valid for my visa interview since that was what the school used for my i-20 and it was printed out like four months ago?
