Chances are the congregation will still think you're lying while the pastor is right. Meet him after service instead and explain to him, maybe he misunderstood you and interpreted it his own way.
You self, how God go restore your marriage and u no wan testify inorder to encourage other believers who are going through similar situation?

Are you saying, you had never experienced him exhibiting such attitude on someone else's case that you should have learnt from that, to make you distance your family problems from him? I once had cause to correct a pastor
when he interpreted a Bible message
of hundredfold blessings.
He mistook the 100 fold blessings to be
a 💯% ( one hundred percent) increase.
I corrected him by pointing out that 💯%
increase is double or X 2, which is totally
different from 💯fold increase which is
X 100.
A hundred percent increase of 1000 Naira
is N2000 ( ie double).
A hundredfold increase of N1000 is N100,000.
which makes more sense.

If he is actually called as claimed, he wouldn't have used your matter as a topic to preach in the church. He needs more wisdom, understanding and application of knowledge in handling matters. He didn't not seek you and your husband consent before he broadcasted it to the congregation. Confront him politely and let him know that you and your households are not happy with him for bringing your matter out to the congregation with the lies he added to it. Some pastors use human feelings and sentiments to deal with their members, some don't allow Holy Spirit to guide their actions but want to show off as miracle workers instead of allowing God takes the glory. I'm very careful with pastor since they are also human being like me and not God . As christians, develop serious and personal relationship with God in prayers, reading and obeying the Bible and you will have less or no private issues to run after pastors. I was embarrassed for a mature guy one Sunday when pastor called him out and asked church to pray for him after pastor has shared part of his secret story to the church. You can meet him and talk to him politely not to bring your matter to the congregation. It is very bad and I am a living witness when my pastor brought my matter to the congregation and I challenged him but later found fault in me. He started discussing my matter and even preaching my family matter at church. When my wife and I find it difficult to convince him,we joined another church. We move on and since then till date,our matter is still trending at the church. Pls,it is your decision and no one else can decide for you except God. 3 Likes |

Pastors are not God. Endeavour to be your own pastor, and In matter like this a respectable family member could have amicably resolved the matter without any peace maker, who is not a family member taking the shine for fostering peace.

don't confront him, report him to the elders of the church and demand an Apology from specifically he should apologize to your husband in a congregation so as to remove the stigma of battery he has artificially created, if he refuses & the eldrs have refused to do anything about it, do not wary, go to God in prayers but most especially apologize to your husband and mean it in action, meanwhile, now you understand the type of person your pastor is, share anything with him in cauton. |

That you added “politely” speaks to your character as a decent and good hearted person. This pastor is a human like you and his actions were disrespectful and not necessary putting your family affairs out there without your permission. What happened to there is a sister here who had problems with her husband and i solved it why call you?.
