iwanvisityankee:Some schools require you to be present maximum 10days after the semester starts or your registration will be cancelled. If that happens then you will have a difficult time explaining to the POE officer what you will then be doing in Canada If you intend to go this route make sure all class registration can be completed online |

Bamz555: If you want to take out the entire 20m now before you travel, then it will be a loss to you as you would have to use black market rate but if you take just a little let's say 2million at current black market rate it's about 2700 or more USD which should last you about 3 months or more to at least settle. As soon as you open a Canadian Bank Account, you can then apply for upkeep through Form A which will be at official rate and better value for you 3 Likes |

Badadvisor: I am glad this is helpful, do not hesitate to ask questions I will answer if I can, N/B that JAPA is about doing it yourself, so don't be scared it gets easier. Depends on your definition of cheap, as someone coming from Nigeria NO school in Canada is cheap. My situation is d/f when it comes to CGPA, so I will just give you some clues based on my interaction with people in colleges, 1. Colleges offer mostly 1-year programs meaning you have to be prepared to get another 1year admission as soon as you land in Canada in other to qualify for the 3yrs PGWP after your studies. 2. when it comes to fees I actually don't see a big d/f between both give or take 5k CAD to 6k CAD, colleges are more hands-on and give you skills required for practical jobs. ( very great for a starter) 3. there is a list of schools that accept 2.2 I will find them and paste them, it's now up to you to check them one after the other. 2 Likes |

For someone that already got medical request from IRCC. I want to ask if 1 month is enough to get everything done. Assuming I go for medical next week Monday being 3rd of April, how long it takes IOM to upload result, also IRCC to confirm and send PPR letter. If i should send the passport same day it was requested, how long it will take to get to Nairobi, stamped and returned back. I'm in a very difficult situation now, I just want to know if all these can happen before 1st of May |

Good morning all and thank y'all for the great job you are doing. As an Hnd (and pgde) holder and going by what I have realized so far hereon, I believe taking another pgd is advisable therefore, I need further advise from guru in the house on the easiest path for me. I will be willing to answer any questions that will help me reach ultimate decision. Thanks. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Bamz555: 9:15am On Mar 28, 2023 |
Ijiimmayi:Yes she has bright chance, yes u can submit to the visa office there in UAE when it’s time. And 25m is good also but how much is school fees each yr? Multiply it by 2 nd living expenses plus miscellaneous for her should be around 15k per yr so multiply it by 2yrs. Then living expenses plus miscellaneous fr u should be around 6k, multiply by 2 that’s 12k cad for ur baby around 5k multiply by 2 that’s 10k. Use 340/cad for rate. All this calculations is because it’s self sponsor or u as the sponsor is also going with her. Then u will know if u have enough nd make sure u have excess money too for return tickets shown. Now ur major problem will be home ties! What’s ur plan on that? |

Swaggu002015: Yea I applied there. I'm yet to get an acceptance letter. The tution is refundable but some charges of let's say 100-200 cads will be removed b4 it is refunded back. You can read the refund policy to understand more |
Congratulations man!!!! @Lawode would buzz. Congratulations. Please, for student visa and a program of two years, do you need the 2years tuition and expenses for the two years calculated together as your proof of fund ? Or proof of fund for the first year tuition and expenses calculated together for POF is okay ? |
That school will Only give you just 30 days to pay your full year tuition [/quote Are you sure of this? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Bamz555: 10:29am On Mar 28, 2023 |

This totally depends on wether it’s self sponsor or u have a sponsor. If u have a sponsor then first year is good. If it’s self sponsor u should show entire study duration nd even return ticket money. |

Gurus in the house, come to my rescue! I submitted my application January 25, did biometrics on the 27th of January 2023. Up till this very moment I haven’t received any response from IRCC, I’ve sent webform severally but no response. My dashboard says Eligibity Review has started already, it’s 9 weeks already and no response whatsoever! Please what else can I do? |
