Geoffrey Onyeama is the minister of foreign affairs. He will be in a better position to explain why they took that decision.
Maybe he wants igbos to get on their Igbo airline first since all their state names are vowels and come first.

*Chaos is easy to start.

If a state of origin matters in times of war, the country should be divided so everyone will know where he or she belong.

What has this development taken away from you? You don't know if it to make work of committee and drivers easier, direct to their states instead of sorting them again in Nigeria! Na wa o! Must we criticise everything, even the thing we don't understand instead of asking questions?

I hope Igbos in Sudan weren't left behind because they are Igbos.

This is the only reason why anything will be done on the basis of state of origin.

Ohaneze should investigate this and commence evacuation of any Igbo man or woman in Sudan.

What are ibos doing in Sudan? They went to learn terrorism to further strengthen IPOB and ESN?

If you want them out of there and home safely then your priority should be to hurriedly get them out of a war zone. So pray tell, what exactly is the reason they boarded the buses according to their states of origin.

Orderliness and to prevent non Nigeria entering

Why are we scared of the phrase " state of origin"?
I don't think we want an omnibus, belong anywhere and everywhere type of society.

Nigeria nor be USA!

They've been saying you're dull and I thought it was bad belle... Now I can confirm for myself.

Is there any International Student in Sudan without an International Passport? Shouldn't the Nigerian passport be the basic requirement for identification?

Sometimes I believe my opinion or perspective about issues are the best but again when I read from others, I learn and reason from other point of view. When I read the headline, I sincere felt bad and wanted to criticize such decision but immediately I read your comment, I breath deeply and I agreed with you immediately that other Nationals might use the opportunity to move out of Sudan leaving true Nigerian stranded.

Well, all we want is to make sure they come back safely. Well done madam Abike

And your useless Nigeria is busing them out in the hope that your hated Igbo, who are to be kept far from the seat of governance in Nigeria, flies them home. Shameless underachievers.

You people don't need to have a negative mindset on most things. Imagine your selfish comment, Igbo this and that! Na wa! 😒

The main reason they did that was probably so that nobody would claim they were left behind because of their state of origin or tribe, so that everyone can have equal opportunity of leaving. So it's the opposite of what you think. If they tell everyone to queue and northerners in the front were mostly picked leaving behind southerners, it would seem unfair, that's why they used that sense.

Geoffrey Onyeama is the Minister of Foreign affairs and an Igbo man, but Abike Dabiri is always the one standing up for Nigerians in diaspora. You people will never talk about him. Make una suffry dey get bad mind about everything! 😡

I saw this one Twitter and I have been wondering the rationale behind it. I thought the aim was to get them out of Sudan and back to Nigeria? So how exactly will separating them according to their state of origin[not even residence, which still doesn't make sense ] help?

Someone that knows better should educate me abeg.

It's better state of residence than state of origin

Economic doesn't know tribes or ethnic yardsticks, just follow the principles!
And by the way- why going Sudan of all places,in fact some Nigerians need New Orientation or why did they venture to Sudan or is it the way to Libya- then to Italy! Just imagine o!
Re: Sudan: Nigerian Students Boarded Buses According To Their States Of Origin by BinamRex: 9:43am On Apr 27, 2023
That was how we were evacuated from the University of Maidugurattempi when were attacked by Boko Haram in 2014. Some States sent buses to evacuate their students. Since the evacuation of Nigerians from Sudan is not led by state governments, there is no point grouping them according to their states.

I hope this is not a deliberate attempt to discriminate against Southern Nigerians in Sudan. The majority of Nigerians are Northern Muslims, but it won't be out of the ordinary to find a few Southerners there. Will they be able to board buses destined for Northern Nigeria?

Madam, no body mentioned Tinubu's name. Why do you feel anybody criticising the FG I attacking APC, Buhari or Tinubu? I'm am sure you're part of those that feel Obidients are 'bullies' or "fascists".

Everyday I ask my self whether the people on Nairaland are actually Nigerians because I seldom meet shallow individuals like your types.

They are probably coming to Nigeria by bus through Chad route.
The bus will stop you in your state so you can easily find your way home.
If there is one bus and it stops Everyone in Abuja, it might get chaotic to convey Everyone to their state
