Nice one

People don dey add tribal coloration to this news. There are other Africans who are also stranded in Sudan, they can claim to be Nigerians, the coordinator was very clever.

Again nice one

You dey mind them, always trying to bring arguments.. When everyone is happy to leave the country.. Who cares about tribe or ethnicity?

You people don't need to have a negative mindset on most things. Imagine your selfish comment, Igbo this and that! Na wa! 😒

The main reason they did that was probably so that nobody would claim they were left behind because of their state of origin or tribe, so that everyone can have equal opportunity of leaving. So it's the opposite of what you think. If they tell everyone to queue and northerners were mostly picked leaving behind southerners, it would seem unfair, that's why they used that sense.

Some non-Nigerians may also be part of those claiming to be Nigerians in Sudan and if they can't identify themselves based on state of origin, they'll be fished out..

Besides all of this, if you've been following Nigerian students in Sudan, you will observe that they group themselves based in states of origin - read all the news reports, you will see things like the President/chairman of Nasarawa students in Sudan, Kano students etc.

This will make it easier to identify everyone - they know themselves already. No one will be left behind hopefully.

But as our resident online hypocrites, they went from Muslims studying terrorism in Sudan to why are ibos left out.

What has this development taken away from you? You don't know if it to make work of committee and drivers easier, direct to their states instead of sorting them again in Nigeria! Na wa o! Must we criticise everything, even the thing we don't understand instead of asking questions?

Did u need to respond to low IQ people?

Replying people that find it difficult to manage just only their "own self" successfully but quickly attack people managing diverse of people, to me, it's a waste of energy.

That was how we were evacuated from the University of Maidugurattempi when were attacked by Boko Haram in 2014. Some States sent buses to evacuate their students. Since the evacuation of Nigerians from Sudan is not led by state governments, there is no point grouping them according to their states.

I hope this is not a deliberate attempt to discriminate against Southern Nigerians in Sudan. The majority of Nigerians are Northern Muslims, but it won't be out of the ordinary to find a few Southerners there. Will they be able to board buses destined for Northern Nigeria?
will you rather want the bus to drop all of them in Abuja and ask them to find their way or you will rather take each of them to their respective states.
The idea is to enable the bus stop in each respective state so students can easily find their way home

They are probably coming to Nigeria by bus through Chad route.
The bus will stop you in your state so you can easily find your way home.
If there is one bus and it stops Everyone in Abuja, it might get chaotic to convey Everyone to their state
They are being conveyed by bus to Ethiopia where they will board a plane to Nigeria.

State of origin is not the same as state of residence.

Yes my brother. Generally, we all know it's northern students who like to go to Sudan but even if there are southerners, they can never be left behind.

I just don't like how Igbos complain and blame others all the time. It's irritating. And most of those shouting tribalism are the worst themselves. They have a very bad opinion of Yorubas and Hausas...

How clever? You can't claim to be a Nigerian without providing proof in form of your international passport, NIN as has been the standard practice during such evacuations since 2011 as far as i can remember. Majority of Nigerians are really ignorant and gullible.

I don't want to be insensitive, but how bad is our education system that our youths have to go to Sudan to study? This is really bad.
Another thought, was it that the students couldn't get admission into our schools or it's because of the incessant strikes or the subpar teaching in the schools?
Am just looking for the reasons why Sudan is where they decided to end up in.

Use sense small nah......many of those people there are not Nigerians, so to identify and sort out anomalies, the coordinator has to filter them out my asking for State of Origin.... So any group foreigners fall into can be identified with ease
Why not check their passport? or do the non Nigerians have Nigerian passports to?

Point of correction it’s not dat tribal bigot abike dat is coordinating dis evacuation. It’s NEMA in conjunction with ministry of foreign affairs. Take note.

We need to kill this state of origin thing before it kills our unity completely, your international passport is enough means of identification.

I think using state of origin is to ensure orderliness. There is need to use a criteria to organize the evacuation else it will be difficult because everyone wants to leave at the same time. So with this, you wait for your turn patiently

Sometimes I believe my opinion or perspective about issues are the best but again when I read from others, I learn and reason from other point of view. When I read the headline, I sincere felt bad and wanted to criticize such decision but immediately I read your comment, I breath deeply and I agreed with you immediately that other Nationals might use the opportunity to move out of Sudan leaving true Nigerian stranded.
If other nationals have Nigeria passport then there is a problem but if they don't then Nigeria passport should be enough to validate that you are a Nigerian.

Many other african nationals that have been in Nigeria can know some Nigeria states and can claim to be Nigerian.

Makydebbie is more Lagosian than some lagosians and she is from Ghana.
