But what if the demon doesn’t have an appointed time to leave the person? Isn’t there like a spiritual solution to it ? And is there a repercussion for indulging in it?

If their is no appointed time then no spiritual solutions would work. Well if you are gay that itself is the repercussion for being cast out of the spiritual order of things. It's a spiritual curse.
