Re: Taiwan, Malaysia Detect Ethylene Oxide In Indomie Noodles by Chrs1996(m):
Ethylene oxide would most likely be used as an addictive,(a substance used to trigger ur appetite for the food, used mostly in food and drink industry to increase patronage). Most big food industries use this addictives and sometimes they can be carcinogenic.

Indomie has this special flavour and aroma that makes one to long for it specifically, that is the work of an addictive.

I had to cutoff from consuming it because it got increasingly expensive, as a medical student I felt it was high time I part ways with it. Also, it causes me diarrhoea, most especially when I prepare it with the follow come spices ( I also observed eating expired indomie didn't result in me having diarrhoea). All these quickened my resolve on it.

God save us.

Things like this shouldn't be treated with levity. Food safety is global concern. I look forward to see Nafdac do the needful by visiting the companies in Nigeria producing it but most of our regulatory affairs here are after brown envelopes after visiting.
We are indeed in big mess in this country

NAFDAC should as a matter of urgency investigate this and come up with a position. Already Nigeria is a dumping ground for every kind of thing.
We get the machines and equipment to investigate? grin grin

This is not about releasing statement.
Nigeria’s control bodies are just sleeping.
They ought to carry out spot checks one in a while.
Sometimes, these guys take advantage of our weak system to perpetuate this unhealthy activities.

I've always suspected indomie to be dangerous to health- too much and too many sodium compounds. I've always wondered why NAFDAC allowed that. And if course, most consumer goods from Asia ALWAYS have chemical substances not mentioned on the pack., including all those their magarine ,candiès and all that. ALWAYS.
Re: Taiwan, Malaysia Detect Ethylene Oxide In Indomie Noodles by blowjohn(m): 5:38pm On Apr 29, 2023
Asians consume noodles as if their lives depend on it yet they live very long into their 90s.

U see Nigeria eh, we always make substandard products.

If ur above 30 u will know that the indomie they sell now is not the same indomie we once ate when it first came out. Then 3 minutes was 3 minutes to cook it. These days u go cook indomie tire. The taste is different.

Noodles Asians eat gets don in mins just like the old indomie. Which means that there has been a compromise frm the original thing.

What about Gala? Same thing.

Gala used to be the tastiesnt snack with real beef.

Now na chemical

U get my point?

Africans won't have sense.

They realize people are shifting away from their rice, for noodles.
I wonder why people (especially plenty on Nairaland) reason through their anus like this. Nigerians don't consume up to half of the noodles those people in east Asian consume in noodles, why should they be worried about one African country shifting away from their rice (which isn't even true by the way) to construct health danger alert lies about their own home owned international brand.

From all the instant noddles available in the marketplace, we forget that this thing is actually the main food in China, japan and all those places. Same way we have different ways of preparing rice.

You can buy egg noodles from the store and make your own delicious East Asian style sauce with it. Very tasty and economical to make than instant noodles that will unload all manner of calamity inside your body without you being aware.

If you want to live long in this life, avoid patronising Chinese and SE-Nigeria-made edibles. Other things, fair enough. But things that will go into your body and system, run ooo.

These sets of people like to cut corners, so just know something isn’t right when you eat what they produce. They just want to make money, not minding if you’d die.

Avoid their akpu, palm oil, blended egusi & ogbonno, fried stuffs (they use transformer oil). etc
