I love this response, very apt. Thank you very much. I think the best thing to do is to book for medical once a request of biometrics is made. Then, I can fix the biometrics a day before the medical. Na to go sleep the airport after biometrics be that. Thank you very much. zubizareta: |

Hello house. Please my LOA states that my first year fee is $14,600 -$24,400 that is 18 to 33 credits. The total number of credits for the 2 years program is 33 credits. My question is how much am I to show as my school fees for POF? because obviously the 24,400 is for the whole 2 years program, is that what I have to show? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Gentlesoul3268: 7:17am On May 02, 2023 |
There's 2 semester in one program so $24,400 I guess is your first year tuition fees, they won't quote second year but you have to know that 24,400 multiply by 2 ie 2 years program. Because that's how mine shows and I'm going for a 2 years program, some program first semester count as 4 month in Canada I stand to be corrected MikePaulGh: |

Pls house, has there been any successful visa application using Mpower loans. How did you convince the VO you would pay back upon returning after studies?(Even though I don't have plans of returning) Pls respond |

sudo1986:Doesn't work that smooth. Due to the pressure and high volume of appointments, most people get medical appointments dates a month after they book medical appointments. Currently no space in May foe appointments booking for IOM and Qlife. Best bet is , you book your medical first and get a date, then submit your application(usually if you are lucky, you get a mail the next few days to book appointment for biometrics). So you can submit your application a week before your medical appointment date. But it's still all under probability for dates to be close |

Gentlesoul3268:Thanks for your reply. But on the school site the whole program is 33 credits and the fees is 750 per credit which brings about the $24k. And also the LOA shows the first year tuition to be between 14,600 and 24,400 which is between 18 credits and 33 credits maximum. I was thinking they put the minimum and the maximum there because the program allows for accelerated program, even though it's 2 years program, you are allowed to finish faster if you want. |

Please @justwise and other gurus in the house can you advice me? I have my LOA for January admission but packaging my POF is my challenge. I can't explain the bulk into my account (about 10m) because it is borrowed. I have another account I have about 5m which is ok. My intention now is for me to wait till Sept. before I submit my application so I can print 4 months statement starting from this May (the money hit my account in April). Kindly advice, will it be too late waiting till 1st week in September to submit? @bullstriker @bamzz @ketima |

Good day House! Sadly, my application was refused on the 29th of March on the basis of insufficient fund and lump sum amount paid into my account by my organization as I clearly stated in my SOP that my organization was sponsoring me. Now I have my POF and want to reapply stating self sponsorship. Do I still need to attach the old POF alongside this new one or just go ahead with a fresh application? Please help! |

Draybaba0103:You cannot use your Naira card to pay on paymytuition. You can use a dorm card, however, you will charged at black market rate. If you are looking to make payment for the initial deposit, best to use black market rate and a dollar card, then pay the balance using Form A. Good luck! |

Sorry for the delay response but I see that your concerns have been well dealt with. Any medical done before you get medical request is upfront medical. It can be done before you submit your application or after. One of the benefit is because it's difficult to get dates for medical these days. In my case, no medical request was sent by the VO. After sending the e-medical sheet through webform and those emails, they updated to medical passed sudo1986: |

Got PPR on the 19th after two refusals. First application: Nov. 5, 2022; POF document (38 Pages) Presented funds for only first year tuition / living expenses, explained I make enough to have the funds for the second year before school resumes in September. Came back refused Jan. 31st (Two reasons: Insufficient finance and assets / full tuition unpaid). I listed source of funds as my B2B business and crypto. I gave mostly written statements about my income and not much or rather not enough evidence to back up these statements, hence the refusal. Ordered GCMS, VO had concerns with: Lump sums - Starting balance was 900K, sold digital assets within a month and topped up to 10.9M, VO was concerned about this, especially when they did not understand the source. Source of funds - No payslips, no tax income slip, not enough evidence of work, salaries etc. Tuition Payment: - VO suggested to make full first year tuition. Second application: March 15th, 2023: POF document (44 Pages) Before first refusal came, I had spent 70% of POF in December on iPhones to be sold, instead of the funds to just be in the account. (How naive of me to think my first application was perfect and no refusal in sight). I had to reluctantly sell more of my digital currencies Presented funds for two years tuition / living expenses plus misc, provided detailed information about the digital currency and the trail of funds from blockchain to tradfi account. Did not provide much info regarding B2B offline business (Thought since majority of POF came from crypto, there wasn’t much use for info about my offline business). Application came back refused March 21st (One reason - Insufficient finance and assets). Ordered GCMS, it has not arrived till date. Third application: April 4th, 2023; PPR April 19th. POF document (243 pages!) Mo fun won tan! Was expecting to receive GCMS for second application on April 25th. But I couldn’t wait because of time constraints. I made two deductions from the refusal, either IRCC does not accept funds from crypto as POF or my application needs to be substantiated with a legal business profile. I did a lot of tinkering here, did extensive research on if taxes were mandatory to get an application approved and confirmed that it only helps to prove that the company exists and makes enough money legally. I asked a tax consultant for my estimated tax (Omo! Wahala Wahala Wahala). So I looked for ways to prove that my company exists and makes enough money legally. I provided payment dashboard from all payment processors showing how much company has received in payments since inception. Showed partner onboarding, funding payments, supplier details etc. Provided Skype support group screenshots, history of transactions, one year bank statement confirming the inflow from all payment processors, and lastly (na this one hard pass), I became an accountant LOL. Researched how to create a profit and loss statement, income statement etc. Used records in my book-keeping to create an income statement, showing the monthly earnings. Added an affidavit of return, juggled my SOP (More formal and maintained consistency), added a church recommendation / ambassadorship certificate. Bumped up my living expenses from $10KCAD to $15KCAD To be honest, the third application was to test and to know on time if taxes were mandatory to get an application approved, I knew for sure if the application came back refused, I would need to settle taxes and re-apply. Halleluyah! It came back with PPR. Stamped passport is on its way back to me via courier! LOI has dropped too. Winnipeg ya! I thank bobomaigida, bullstriker, johnstan, olokings (proper ginger man), thesoj, halima for their inputs! Goodluck to everyone applying, it will end in praise!
