Hello everyone! I'm intending to study in the uk come September 2023. While I'm waiting for my POF for CAS to mature, I received the following message from the representative of an agent working for Teesside University;
"I'm the staff assigned to follow up with your application henceforth, I'm to ensure your POF is maintained for the required 28days before uploading it on your portal and that the statement is genuine from the bank without any errors"
I actually verified they are genuine agent.
My concern:
*Do I need an agent at this stage of the process?
* She claimed the service is free, so what will they benefit from this service?

Actually yes.
I got my unconditional offer but my passport wasn't out yet. Later mailed the school with my passport details when it came out.

1. Yes, you can initiate the transaction if you don’t have money in account yet but make preparation to get the money in as soon as possible and also there are also charges that will be deducted before the real money you want to pay, make that one available in your account so that the process can continue even if the money is not in your account yet.

2. It depends on the bank o, visit the bank branch you want to initiate the transaction they will give you.

But it’s not a LETTER in quote, for most banks, it’s like a form with the heading “AUTHORITY TO DEBIT AND REMIT FUNDS” which will be given to you by your bank to fill and you will sign, submit for the processing.

I had one recently, still expecting their feedback.

* Recorded call,video call (with your consent tho)
* You will be asked to introduce yourself
* A bit about your background, previous school, year of grad, course and all
* Reason for your choice of school and course in London Met
* Funding plans (If self funding - you will be asked about your parents income)
* What you know about your course, modules, period of study, living expenses, maintenance amount etc
* Where you will live in the UK

Basically, all the above. No pressure, mine was also done by a black lady, I think they even used a Nigeria office.
