You are not alone on this one. I submitted my application on 13th April together with an upfront medical sheet. I had my biometrics on 18th April and by 22nd I got medical request which I submitted again via email and webform. Medical was updated to pass on 24th April but up till now nothing from them. The wait is tiring and frustrating.

I haven’t done biometrics yet because they haven’t sent me biometrics instruction letter

Do you know if your location make you exempted from the biometrics exercise?

If no then send them a mail stating your details, application confirmation & payment receipt

I am not exempted. I sent them an email and they referred me back to fill web form which I did.

If one finished Nysc February of this year, must the person show employment letter?

Is there anyone that applied for visa 2-3 months after nysc?

Bamz555:

U are asking the wrong question that’s why.
If u have done ur own research nd gone through this thread to an extent u will have answers to these questions.
However
4 cardinals points determines d success of ur application or not:
1 POF
i explain every lump sums with evidence
ii if self sponsored make sure to have total expenses for d study
iii if u have a sponsor u should show at least first year expenses
iv if sponsor is not parents or family, u have to establish relationship with d person and explain why they choose to sponsor u.
v if ur parent or anyone is sponsor, submite
a SOA
b proof source of income
c sponsorship letter nd affidavit
d reference letters from bank. (Ur SOA is not mandatory but where u have a study gap, it’s mandatory)
2 Home ties
i spouse and kids are the strongest hometies
ii parents are good hometies too
iii work security is a sure hometies too
iv landed properties
v a registered operational business/company
3 Study progression
i if a graduate program, make sure what u intent to study is inline with what u studied in ur bachelor.
4 Study gap
i If u have a study gap, say 1yr upwards, explain what u have been doing for that 1 year.
ii show evidence of employment nd work experience
iii lastly, for example if u studied accounting at undergraduate, u have a study gap of say 3/4yrs nd u have been into ICT for d last 3yrs. U can not study accounting or economics at graduate level, u have to go with ICT related course. To have a accurate study progression.

I hope I have been able to help you and any other person confused and looking for answers
All the best!

PPR DON SHOW MEHHHHN

Meke ona no vess abeg ... It came out a while ago but i've been quite busy. Wanted it to be as detailed as possible to help y'all for the sake of reference. Thank God for giving me this, I consider it a special gift. I initially intended on using an agent because of his proclaimed success rate. I con reason am, which agent go tell you about their win-to-loss ratio? So, after having a holistic discussion with him about Visa Applications in general ... I figured ... hey ... This isn't really rocket science, I can do this. And so, everything from start to finish was done BY MYSELF. Here's my timeline below.

*Timeline*
School Application 12th Dec 2022
Admission 15th Dec 2022 (Centennial College)
LOA came 3rd Feb (came in late cus Dem go carry my money give another student, I give dem wahala angry no be chais until dem release am)
Visa Application Submitted 17th Feb
Biometrics 22nd Feb (The way the guy that attended to me here kept congratulating me. At this stage IRCC nvr even touch my application. I con dey wonder )
Request for Medical Examination 24th March
Medicals done 17th April
Medicals updated to passed 26th April
PPR dropped 28th April

*After the medicals (Q-life family Clinic Lagos), I followed up with Q-life to find out when they had uploaded my Medicals. When they confirmed this, I sent a mail to the ircc nairobi mail and and about an hour later, medical updated to pass. Same goes for the PPR, when I saw nothing was happening 2 days later, I sent a mail to nairobi again informing them that my medical has been updated to passed and then, I kid you not ... 5 mins later I received 2 mails "A message about your application is waiting for you.", checked the portal and PPR was sitting peacefully waiting for yours truly. Lass lass, na God get power.

I split my documents into 2 pdf's. the first was for financial related documents, and the second was for any other document. Because of this split, I didn't have too hard a time in compressing my documents. As for the compression, documents that I felt ranked higher in importance, I did little to no compression, while documents that ranked lower, I brutally compressed them.

* APPLIED USING GCKEY
*Documents submitted*

1st pdf (financials/proof of funds) 45pgs

- Detailed clickable Table of contents
- writeup explaining everything regarding proof of funds along with all my cash breakdown.
- Personal Account Statement (closing bal 16m/regular inflows and outflows, bal nvr went below 1.5m)

- Parents int. Passport.
- Dom account statement ($6,000)

- Mybankstatement ticket for my Corporate account (contained 800k, inflow/outflow of about 35m/acct interacts regularly with personal acc)

- 2 pictures of my baby ... referring to my car tongue .

2nd pdf (all other relevant documents) (41pgs)

- Detailed clickable table of contents
- Statement of purpose (3 pgs long) (pro tip, try to keep it short, but if you get plenty talk, Organize your plenty talk into well-defined sub-headings so that V.O will know where to look for whatever)
- School fees deposit receipt (uploaded this in both 1st and second pdf, make dem no talk say dem no see am undecided)
- Birth Certificate
- Nigerian Voter's Card ... probably the last time I would use this for anything to be frank...

- screenshot of my 2 youtube channels
- My Company card.
- Landed property.

Really tried my possible best to be as legit as possible. Would really score myself high on that ... but hey ... If you know you know cool.

Also if you're on telegram you can search for 9ja Canada Study Group (see image) to join others using DIY for this study route.

Hello my people,

Please I need help on this issue.
My passport will expire next year July, 06 2024, and I’m applying for study permit that should last for a duration of three years.
Do you think I should get a new passport before applying or continue with my old passport and hopefully to renew it when I get to Canada.

Please I need your advice!!

Hi everyone,
Do you think it’s possible to get a status change after refusal from IRCC. My lil bro biometric was updated on 2nd , he got biometric letter and refusal letter same day. It’s weird because he was refused based on financial status since he has paid tuition. He got another message saying status has change after receiving his refusal letter. Today is 4th so his biometrics and refusal Same the same day, we printed it out yesterday and today a status has change. Could it be ghost message?
Do you think there can be a reconsideration after refusal we didn’t do or submit anything

There is a fundamental issue with the POF, it is possible there were unexplained lump sum in the SOA presented, since he does not have his own funds.

Please request for GCMS notes to know the detailed reason for refusal.

@bamz555 Please how you see this matter:

BrandProtection:
Thanks a lot for the response. So this is a screenshot of the Request Letter. Since they included the option of sending in proof of previous biometric submission, I thought that should suffice.

However, the time frame they gave has now passed for the payment (we sent the BVL on the same day we got the Request Letter), so we will most likely upload the reciept via their Web form if we make the payment now.

Given this new info, what do you think?

He’s 18, his sponsor is his father. I’m currently here for two years now. It’s just that application was under 24hrs in total on the decision made. More like they didn’t check at all.
I know ircc to hold your refusal letter after months of waiting. I booked appointment with immigration lawyer already even went to change and defer his course yesterday
Perhaps it was based on living expenses because that is the second leg of proof of funds.

Hey bro ... if you have submitted your visa already, you may still be able to meet up, but if you haven't submitted, it may take a while ... Considering the fact that you really can't predict how quickly IRCC would attend to your application. Personally, I like to afford ample time. So my advice would be to Check on the school's website to know the deadline for the deferment of your program. I believe that will be key in your decision-making.

If you are applying through the Nigerian Study Express (NSE) route, your visa will come out in about 30days. However if it is through the regular route, it may take up to 4 months.
