Thank you for your response. I have thoroughly reviewed all the payment receipts multiple times, and they consistently indicate that the category chosen was Visitor Visa which is the same for all of us.

Visits.UKCustomerEnquiries@fcdo.gov.uk sent the mail

File a complaint to explain her case with the receipt. Or seek clarification by replying visitvisa enquiries.

Or

Better to just wait, cos if the decision is not favourable for her on that ground alone then you can challenge it.

However, if all of you unfortunately don't make it for some other reasons, then fussing over it wouldn't have made any difference now, would it.

the rule most ppl go by is not more than 6 months in any 1 year period… so if u decide to stay 6 months, to help urself next re entry should be after another 6 months as if you come back sooner u are at risk of getting sent back by border officer for trying to live in the UK
It is a visit visa and not visa to disguise to stay in the UK

I have gotten an admission from Newcastle university, and am ready to pay the deposit, but my questions are, after getting the uk visa, what are my chances of getting a job, accomodations, immediately with my dependent (wife), I also have a 6month old baby, as I will be paying back the remaining tution fees gradually from what I make monthly after house rent, or how do guys that travel via student visa do it
You are setting yourself up if you think you can pay your tuition balance with work you do as a student but if your dependant can work fulle time maybe you can but still not easy but possible

You will explain how you survive staying in the uk without working on a visit visa 6 months on your next entry.

The person can enter UK after about 2 months of leaving, I have seen someone doing this for the past 5 years and no issue. No VO will ask you any useless questions so far you haven't overstayed in the past, do not have a criminal record and you hold your return ticket. The woman in question is presently in the UK as we speak, she's looking after her grand daughters and sons.

Oh well, finally managed to book a date. Had to pay extra 40k sha. On top transit visa oo smiley
Na me make mistake book BA sha.

The agent or whoever told you to pay transit visa just got free money. I am a travel agent. Traveling with any European airline to the UK eg Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Alitalia will require you to present a any schengen transit visa you have on your transit stop with the airline if not you will be sent back. You dont pay 40k to an agent for transit visa. You apply for it(schengen visa) at the embassy of the airline hub eg applying for a france transit visa and at the french embassy or at VAC because you are using Air france to travel to the UK. Same paper work but takes a short time to process. Please be careful out there. BA does not require a transit visa because it is a direct flight. Turkish airlines, Ethiopian airlines, Egypt Air, Royal air maroc, Kenya airways, Rwandair. All these airlines do not require any transit visa when transiting through their country to the UK. I hope with this, I have stopped someone somewhere from making a mistake

Am sure they dont want to refuse her thats why the mail.was sent am very sure a little oversight was done by you. Hubby had d same issue sumtime ago he was called cos he picked a wrong class of visa . Just withdraw and fill it again it will be sorted.
quote author=trav post=123640915]Dear House,

I kindly seek your urgent advice regarding a situation I am currently facing. I recently applied for a UK visitor visa for myself, my wife, and two children. The application was submitted as a family unit at the Ikeja office last week on Thursday. I applied for a 5-year visa for both myself and my wife, while opting for a 2-year visa for our children. We even opted for the flexi service.

Today, I received emails notifying me that my application and those of my children have arrived at the Decision Making Centre and are awaiting consideration. However, my wife received a different email stating that she applied in the wrong category. The email invites her to withdraw the application within five days, or else a decision will be made based on the information they currently have. This has left me extremely confused because we all applied for the Standard visitor visa category, and I personally completed and submitted all the applications, ensuring that the information was consistent across all forms and the document checklists.

An email to confirm her application withdrawal was provided, but the issue is perplexing because we applied together as a family for visitor visas. I am at a loss as to how a wrong category could be applicable to my wife. We are both unsure about what steps to take now. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you @Olaide2 for your response. I must admit that I am currently feeling a bit confused and uncertain. However, one thing I am absolutely certain about is that my wife did not apply under a different category. Not only did I personally complete and submit all the application forms, but I have all four copies of the application forms, visa fee payment receipts, and the documents checklist saved on my system. I have thoroughly reviewed and compared them, and every single document clearly indicates the visitor visa category. The only difference is that our visa fees are for a duration of five years, while the fees for our children's visas are for two years.

This situation is particularly frustrating because my wife has already completed her biometrics, and the email suggests that if she chooses to withdraw her application and reapply, she will be required to pay another visa fee of USD 873.

Most likely a case of mistaken identity. They probably think your wife is someone else. Try and get a number to call. Explain the situation to whoever you talk to and hope you get good advise on next steps. Good luck!

He didn't pay 40k to any bloody agent, he paid that to earn a slot for biometrics under prime time.

Bro he will submit the docs when he goes for the biometrics. The 40k was to get the chance to appear for the bio not for the transit visa.

A letter that says she’s a fully matriculated student will go a long way to prove her ties back home

I read a thread of you paying 40k for prime appointment unless I read it wrong. I’m trying to book for prime or premium appointment for tomorrow or Tuesday but I’m getting error messages when I get to checkout. It’s not asking for card details.

It asked for card details in my case and worked 1 hand. You can message me on WhatsApp using the number on my signature if you're still facing challenges.
