Hello all, Please how do I apply for a UK visitors visa for my brother to come for my graduation ceremony? I have the letters from my university already. I want to know how to go about it to avoid refusal because I've tried applying for my mom before but because I put that she's unemployed she got a refusal. So I'm skeptical about this because He's a business man but we don't have documents to show. He also has the money to sponsor his travel. And he has good travel history too. Can anyone help please? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Thegamingorca(m): 8:53am On Jun 06, 2023 |
Tewebhele: Omoh if he is not prepared to tender a savings account with credit from only his business, he should just forget about it. If he is uploading personal account showing haphazard withdrawals and payments from customers, he will not get the visa. Since he doesn't have proprietary documents, CAC and such that's another problem. Your mom faced a rejection prior so you already know what to expect from her letter |

Truth106: You mean you suffered two rejections with the keep passport option? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 2:04pm On Jun 06, 2023 |
Amychike:leave them out. When you get your own visa then you put in for them. Your husband already has. Since you will be fully sponsored, work on how to convince them you will return because of your ties which are the remaining 2 children. You should be worried about your application so focus on how to convince the ECO. If/when your own comes out, then you can re-visit the topic of applying for them. Circumstances change so it could well have been that was what happened. 1 Like |

Realshima88:if your relationship is genuine you should be able to prove that… to be honest.. an outsider can not do the convincing for you. Also joint account or investment certificates are not mandatory. I was only giving examples of what to add |

Good evening gurus,is it a must to provide reason for rejection when one is applying for visit visa? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Thegamingorca(m): 6:42pm On Jun 06, 2023 |
segyoms: If it's annoying you or you feel it is a slight on your honour you can leave it out. Just make sure the issues raised therein are properly addressed this time around. |

Hello gurus, my sister is applying for a UK visit visa for her and her two children. in her application she stated that she spends about N200k monthly for herself and two children, her business brings about 10mil yearly and she plans to spend like N3.5mil for the 2 weeks UK visit including flight, hotel, and tourist stuff. the wahala now is that she has less than N500k in her personal account, and about N12mil in her business acct but her plan is that she will withdraw the said 'N3.5 mil' from her business account into her personal account, write a letter explaining the lumpsum. I was trying to argue with her that itmay cause an issue. What do you guys advise, please Please it's urgent please 🙏 @everyone @justwise |

teamstudy: What does she make monthly? Which account does she intend to tender in the application? Which account has the money that amounts to 10million annually been hiding over the years? She cannot just make blanket statements and take cover under a fat business bank account. Does the business account have funds or transactions leaving and arriving impromptu? If it does she shouldn't use that. If there is however clear salary from bank account from the company she owns however, then she can use it. What's her travel history? Where is she going and what does she intend to do in the UK? She even plans on blowing 3.5million in 2weeks for herself and 2 kids just like that. When her savings account only has 500 thousand there. I wish her the best on her biometrics. If she dumps lodgement of 3.5 million in her personal account just like that and she presents that as bank statement, then I am sorry to say that No Angel Gabriel will save her from refusal. |

Hi guys I’m trying to book prime time appointment for tomorrow in tls Ikeja. The website says payment is onsite but I’m seeing that I should pay with card. I keep getting transaction processing error every time I try to book. I have cleared cache, allowed cookies on the website, and even updated browser but it’s still not working. It’s not even working for Friday appointments. Has anyone faced this before?

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by trav(m): 8:50pm On Jun 07, 2023 |
Dear House, I kindly seek your urgent advice regarding a situation I am currently facing. I recently applied for a UK visitor visa for myself, my wife, and two children. The application was submitted as a family unit at the Ikeja office last week on Thursday. I applied for a 5-year visa for both myself and my wife, while opting for a 2-year visa for our children. We even opted for the flexi service. Today, I received emails notifying me that my application and those of my children have arrived at the Decision Making Centre and are awaiting consideration. However, my wife received a different email stating that she applied in the wrong category. The email invites her to withdraw the application within five days, or else a decision will be made based on the information they currently have. This has left me extremely confused because we all applied for the Standard visitor visa category, and I personally completed and submitted all the applications, ensuring that the information was consistent across all forms and the document checklists. An email to confirm her application withdrawal was provided, but the issue is perplexing because we applied together as a family for visitor visas. I am at a loss as to how a wrong category could be applicable to my wife. We are both unsure about what steps to take now. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 1 Like |

trav: Check the UKvi mail receipt sent to her mailbox if it is standard visitor visa she also paid for. Then tender that as evidence for a possible oversight on... Wait oh! who sent her the mail? TLS?? Or visitsukcustomerenquiries?? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Thegamingorca(m): 9:12pm On Jun 07, 2023 |
mbanolady: You are self employed sef. I hope you have a savings account separate from your business account? If the income is not uniform/constant, make it uniform. Deposit monthly take home from work from your company bank account with your company name in the bank details. Make the funds 270k monthly and spend 30 to 35k max. By spend I mean consciously spill it over to the next 270k monthly you need to pay for the next month after their withdrawal. Why I say 270k is cos when you eventually apply for a visit you should be seen not spending more than 3 times your disposable income. Ensure the payment is made on the same day of every month from your bank account with company name. A weekend getaway to the UK can fly for 700pounds max and that 240k DI will be right on the mark when you apply if oanda rates don't misbehave anytime soon. |

Thank you for your response. I have thoroughly reviewed all the payment receipts multiple times, and they consistently indicate that the category chosen was Visitor Visa which is the same for all of us. Visits.UKCustomerEnquiries@fcdo.gov.uk sent the mail Thegamingorca: |
