Kudos to you guys, you're the real GOATs of this hustle and not that Cheerleader that is so full of himself and always ranting like a spoilt child. Besides being a cheerleader he is also petty. He might as well ask the app companies to let him continue to run round Lagos like someone without direction and not effect the fare increase on his trips.

One might argue about some of the issues he raised but again the question is: can the relationship between the drivers and the app companies be better? And my answer to that is a resounding YES.

Agitations like these are meant to benefit everybody but you're called lazy because you ask for a better treatment. Some people are just selfish and cheerleader reeks of it.
Again, your stupidity shines brighter than LED.

I've always carried everyone along on my methods of making more money irrespective of fuel price, app price or the negativity on this thread. Everytime I post positivity and new methods on this thread, you and your fellow idiots shoot it down. But I'm the selfish one.

Like I said, even with the increment you will still complain and I Will still be the one to come here and post how easy it will be to make 60k a day, and fools Like you will still discourage others from following it because it will cause them waist pain, eye problems, damage their car. You will even still say salary work is better.

It's just a matter of time. I dey wait.

Anyone notices that fuel price has increased too? Those selling 488 now sell 495. 490 is now 510 in Lagos.

The price is meant to fluctuate, market forces will determine the prices just like diesel.

The strike has been a tremendous success. Almighty bolt increased their fares 3 times under 7 days. Uber increased their own for the 2nd time today. This is despite the very “hardworking” Nairaland drivers who always claim to make profit. 😆 But sane drivers protested and we’re making progress. Even though the prices are still unbalanced.

The next push is a total reduction of commission to 10% on all apps in Nigeria. We’d continue pressing their neck on Monday. I was at the protest ground today and the number of Corollas I saw, I’ve never seen it in my life. 😁

Kudos to all those who stood on the side of truth and made their voices heard on different platforms. From Lagos to Abuja to Kano to Delta, Ibadan, Kwara etc. Una well done . 🙌✌️

Let 90% of drivers down tools for 1week and let's see if the app companies will not dance to your tunes. Continue to allow yourselves to be deceived that the app companies don't care. Without a doubt they know drivers are the life blood of the business.

You guys that are on this hustle FULL TIME should continue to have this conversation/negotiations... Unfortunately, many Nigerians are bad at having conversations; I think it's also made them awful at negotiations. At the end when they get the short end of the stick, some of them resort to cheating or delivering shitty services... Redemption song by Bob Marley readily comes to mind "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our mind!!!

Don't get me wrong. On weekdays I do an average of 2-4 trips that will fetch me at least 20k. After that am done for the day. But weekends like Friday, Saturday and Sundays I do alot more.

I didn't chase bonus honestly, cos I didn't even meet up. My goal was to see what I could make on this new fuel price #500 per litre. During today's adventure, I discovered that Bolt has increased their price to a reasonable amount, (not the initiaI price increase they did last week) , Then I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to drive longer and make more bar.

So how much fuel did u use to make this bar?

15k fuel ( Half tank) to make 51k

There was no lfuel left in the tank after sales

2.4 litre engine Toyota Camry muscle. Fuel Consumption is a bit high

I would have made more if I drive Yaris, Corolla or Matrix.

Na Yaris dey enjoy this subsidy season: 22k full tank can gross close to 100k or more

Some of my guys dey use that car

I've been having vivid imagination of how NEC meetings look like...where important decision that make or mar the nation's already fragile structure are made.

If more of these folks are planted in the corridors of power. We will have nothing but chaos, disunity and underdevelopment.

Imagine civil service commission are proposing to increase salary and workers are saying it's not needed.

It's a different thing if you claim you don't have money ATM, reason why you go out during this strike...but NOT that you don't believe/ support in their struggle. Its complete balderdash. People like this needs to change their ways.

The number of drivers outside during this strike action tells a lot about the crop of people doing this business (largely unemployed), invariably it tells you why the e-coys won't budge too. They are feeding fat on the unemployment rate and the weak union ( made possible by the likes we are reffering to here).
Bolt have tried increasing their fare twice... Made possible through this strike action.

I'll keep saying it. We are stronger together.

Crvrider:
At least some of the app companies are beginning to send out emails effecting changes with regards to fares. It may not be much but this goes to show that the ehailing companies are following trends but instead of taking a stance some drivers who I see as cheerleaders would rather insult those who are trying to make their voices heard over issues that will also benefit them.

Now that fare prices are beginning to go up will they now say they don't want the fare increase?

Bolt and UBER are in serious competition. If UBER reduces commission, i bet you, Bolt will reduce as well.

Uber reduced their commission to 20% last year, Bolt jacked theirs up to 25% from 20% within the same period in Lagos. I may be wrong?

I don't really think Bolt is so much bothered about Uber fares, Indrive are the ones pulling the strings in Lagos and frustrating all efforts because of their popularity amongst riders.

Ironically, same drivers who are on strike today are the ones that will be picking cheap and unwholesome fares on Indrive.

Some of them don't know what mental slavery is and then he went ahead and wrote an epistle defining slavery and employee. How many of us dey read terms and conditions while downloading apps...did he? And he is talking about agreement.

My expenses before the fuel increase:
Fuel: 8000/185 = 43Ltrs
InDrive commission: 2k
Total expenses: 10k

Expenses after fuel increase:
Fuel: 43Ltr x 488 = 20,984
InDrive commission= 2k
Total expenses: 22,984

Percentage increment of 129.84%

Will the work rate be the same? With this I will have to work more to cover my expenses before I start to work for any form of profit. Yet he talks about making more money now than before.
